at this point im backing out. what i feel and see is different from everyone else. i like the fight…i dont think its bad…i dont feel its as brutal as people think. thats it. just move on.
nah im not takin it personally just giving the same answer over and over more or less.
lol just got a call sheet for this student film…damn these niggas go hard for a 4-5 minute short. they gave me an arrival time and a makeup time…foo i’m black lol. they are going to do nothing to me…like everytime i’m an extra on real movies…except r.i.p.d they gave me a haircut.
Its not about it being BRutAL like metalocapse or whatever, it just look really well executed unlike the wrestimg you compared it to. Then u go off and post some power ranger cgi filled bullshit but talk down on a classic and wonder why niggas is looking at you funny. Really nothing to explain lol
Damn them old man genes kicking in, I’m obviously talking about what you have posted in the past you turd. How are you gonna promote this shit and then turn around and say one of the best fight scenes ever put on film looks like pro wrestling. You don’t think that doesn’t make you look like an ass? Seriously?
no its not obvious what you were talking about since there is literally a power ranger video posted on this page.
i dont care if it makes me look like an ass…its how i feel. i keep repeating its not a bad fight…and ill say it for the last time…just not as brutal/rough as some people claim. you dont like it…tough shit. put me on ignore or w/e…but move the fuck on grandpa.
So I got a chance to watch Special ID, and it is one of the dumber films with Donnie Yen I’ve ever watched.
[details=Spoiler]For starters, Donnie’s character is a fucking idiot, maybe that just comes with him not being a convincing actor. Almost every problem that arose was a result of him being a blockhead when handling a situation. Plot wasn’t working out half the time.
Like someone else pointed out, the choreography for most of the street fights weren’t too exciting. I booked him swinging his arms more than actually throwing punches.
Then there was all those large jumps off the ledge onto a set of stairs, and jumping from a building ledge onto a car, yet none of them sustained any injuries from that height. The use of strings was also pretty obvious.
Last fight was one of the worst. The car battling scene prior to it was complete nonsense especially when they got to the unfinished bridge. I don’t know if you noticed, but roughly in the beginning of the fight, Yen grabs On by the leg for a bit, waits, then gets down to throw a weak punch. Followed by that, he either winged it or completely screwed it up, but I saw this guy smack On’s thigh like he was delivering a massage, and it blew me away that the director let this slide too. It looked so awkward, surely anyone would’ve noticed.[/details]
In the version of wheels that I have this is the theme that plays during the jackie vs benny fight. It starts at 0:18 seconds. It brings back so many memories, lol.
I used to purchase r18 certificate films when I was 14, only anime and kungfu films at that time not porn. It took me at least 15minutes to gather my nerves and approach the cashier with the VHS tape in my hand, lol. I thought i’d get arrested if I was ever caught buying a film underage.
So i ended up working the stunts for that movie project i told you guys about last weekend, worked 2 days on the project. the stage combat guys didnt come through, so me and my boy helped the director coordinate the stunts. The main star was really good at responding to direction and i think we made it a good final product. i cant wait to see it when it’s all done. it was the most ballerist student film ever…food stipend…free hotels…everyone always askin if we need anything. i will do any fucking emerson student film if their all like this shit.
the director definitely wants to do more projects with me and my boy. we’re definitely excited for that, plus he wants to learn some martial arts stuff himself. i like his energy and enthusiasm…i have nothing really bad to say about him at all.
Good stuff my man. Can’t wait to see the final product. I am glad it worked out pretty well for you. I know I could use some advice from you when it comes to planning a fight scene. Seeing as how there isn’t anyone in the city that is into stunts or anything, we kind of are learning as we are going along. Since I am quarterbacking the whole project, I know I have a lot of people expecting me to know everything, lol.
Anyways here is a pretty cool mini doc on the Cuban fight scene.
no doubt…ill help you as much as i can. im still a baby…but learning alot as i go.
funny story i actually got a text by a stunt coordinator today…never met him nor gave him my number. lol. our stunt scene is sooo small only 2 people coulda gave him my number. couldnt do the job cause i was working…i was so tempted to call out.
I know this is random. But I had a dream that me and Daniel Brian were partners in a cop show and iko uwais was one of our mates from another department. Also when I was fighting bad guys, I was fighting like Jackie Chan in wheels on meals. It’s probably one of the illest dreams I’ve ever had.
