The Martial Arts Movie Thread 2017 Donnie hates his fans

i wish i had known earlier…woulda gone.

Yeah that claw fight scene was dope…

Has there been any new HK movies to look up or Thai films…It seems like forever.

check out Detective Dee: The Prequel, hell it helps if you seen the first one too xD some very nice HK MA movies shot in vanilla style

Didnt know its part of a series but heres the info on the new one

I remember seeing Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame a while back and thought it was actually really impressive, kinda had a ‘once upon a time in china’ vibe to it. I havent seen this new one yet am still hunting links, ill share if I find anything decent.

Anyways as far as new MA movies go this is on top of my to watch list.

Tricker and stuntman Mike Moh did an interview Budomate - http://www.budomate.com/mike-moh-exclusive-interview/

None to my knowledge. I was looking forward to Badges of Fury with Jet and Wu Jing but that was a let down. You probably already know that, if not, don’t bother watching it.

One thing I’ve always found odd is Japan not having any martial arts movie stars.

RZA vs Tony Jaa anyone?

Great…I thought I’d have to suffer through only ONE movie where the hero gets worked by the Big Bad, played by some clumsy fucker with no skills (after decimating other skilled martial artists like a hillbilly goes through Mountain Dew) this year.

This one is set to release this month in Hong Kong, but I don’t know about the rest of the world. It’s a mix of mostly horror and some martial arts, and looks like a tribute to the classic Chinese Vampire movies.

Extended trailer:

This is the first time I’ve seen someone’s username to be written in Chinese. #mentalshock

If you don’t get the fuck outta here with that shit lol.

Wow that looks really good. Mr. Vampire is a top 10 HK essential film. Is this suppose to be a continuation of it, as the lead is Chin Siu Ho. This looks creepy as fuck though with some nice visuals but Mr. Vampire had dat comedy & amazing acrobat from Chin Siu Ho which made it a classic.

RZA needs to gtfo away from MA films, that Iron Fist shit nearly killed me. Tony Jaa is honestly somebody else i couldnt give a rats ass about after watching The Raid, his gymnastics wont ever live up to Van Dammes splits.

Sonny Chiba was pretty big with the street fighter series. But I don’t really hear about any Japanese martial artists either.

now this looks a lot better than the Kitchen fight scene.

haha Donnie Yen and his pissant hammer fists, nigga should have tossed the red shirt off the bridge and be done with it.

when it comes to the actual martial arts, its tony jaa > anybody and everybody else in the movie business, gtfo witth your weak ass opinion.

Mahjong tiles can’t be that slippery, come on now.
