the only good ip man movies are fist of fury by bruce lee, fist of legend by jet li and the first ip man movie by donny yen (who i find to be a lil bitchmade motherfucker who cant fight for shit or act). i dont know why, but his first ip man movie was actually good, unlike the rest of the bs ip man movies after that hes done. jet lis is the best ip man movie imo. there are these gay ass whires, but njot a lot of it considering its a bs hk movie starring jet li.
also about tyg2, a5re they using cgi this time around? such a shame.
Ip Man 3 The beginning was good better then the 1st one IMO. As for Donnie, his acting has never been good but they have gotten better. The one thing i like about Donnie though was during the time HK movies were turning to shit, he made a lot of B film movies & tried to get young fighters movie roles. They all shine but sadly all they wanted was pop-star sexy feminine guys doing fake kung fu w/ CGI. Also with all the legends migrating to the west, he stayed & continue to make movies. Now it seems like he makes 4-6 movies a year. A lot of his films getting overblown by Donnie fans but hey they are decent enough to watch once.
Donnie isnāt terrible. He has some upcoming films that look really good (Special ID anyone?). I mean dude has come a long way from Mismatched Couples.
the guy will never be a bruce, jet or tony, shit, hell never even be a jacky imo. hes worse than jcvd, almost as bad as steven seagal (love how dutch people pronounce his name, seagulls ftw).
special id looks promising though, and ip man 1 didnt suck so this could be good as well.
for you donny yen lovers, name me some good movies from him if you can. i know only of iron monkey and ip man, all the other movies ive seen from him are either worse than mediocre or utter crap.
Well the movie Wu Xia a.k.a. Dragon was amazing film until the endingā¦
As for Donnie i was huge fan of his back in the days. Tiger Cage series along with In the Line of Duty IV. His first film he directed Legend of the Wolf was truly a bad ass film, different then most MA films at the time.
He had a lot of supporting roles too & real shined before he became the mega star he is now.
I couldnāt finish watching Grandmaster, just like most of Wong Kar Wai filmsā¦Going to check out Anthony Wongās Ip Man looks decent enough, is that club foot as the main baddy?
Oh itās from the begining of the year so itās been out for a while already. Ip Man: The Final Fight just came out not to long ago which is the current one. They are both awesome imo.
I havenāt seen this SB film since I was a kid. Like 30 years ago.
But I have never forgotten it. Iāve been looking for this film for years on the netā¦but since I couldnāt remember the title, there was no way to find it.
But todayās my very lucky day.
Coz I found it. Finally.
This kung fu flick from back in the day is one of my all time favs, right up there with 5 deadly venoms and master killer.
this movie is a about a Chinese KF teacher that marries a Japanese chick, and they get argumentative over which is better.
Karate or Kung Fu.
But more than just a regular shaw bros action flick, it really has a romantic feel in that thereā like this couple have a equality and mutual respect for each other which is what makes their marriage solid. plus all the fighting they get involved it makes their relationship fiery and stormyā¦which makes their romance passionate and hot.
lastly, if youāve ever seen the police academy movies, in one of those movies, I think PA2 the weapon loving character Tackleberry finds his soon to be wife Kirkland and thereās a scene when they put all their hidden weapons onto the bed. or the table. Regardless that scene is a direct rip off of a scene in this hong kong film.
Ewww, that quality. If I get the chance I might see if I can get away with uploading some movies again via Mega and seeing if I can stream. I think you gotta do some extra shit but then again I might just upload something to youtube if the quality is good. I wish all the links worked in the old thread lol.
The King of the Streets - The main guy i forget his name is the star, director, writer, & choreographerā¦It was a decent B film that didnāt feel like a B film at some parts. The fights were ok, they should have added a little more flash though. The camera work could have been better & the hits could should have felt harderā¦But i was impress enough to watch another film of his but someone else doing the fight choreography.
Ip Man Final Fight - I just found out about this, Anthony Wong as IP man, raised a WTF eyebrow hahaā¦But man does he deliver. The Wing Chun is quite nice by the whole cast. Story was very simple but with Wongās acting makes even better. Nice story of Ip Manās & his many different pupils. I wish there could have been a little more action. It was nice to see some familiar veteran faces i havenāt seen in a long time (Jordan Chan, Anita Yuen, Ken Lo, Club foot, & Eric Tsang) Pleasant surprise.
fist of fury is worst bruce lee movie, (along wityh game of death), but its still bruce lee. as for fist of legend, its still by far the best ip man movie. also you seem dumb enough so ill just help out, all the other ip man movies are bs as well., none of them are TRUE stories, they are based on true stories, nothing more, nothing less. it means they added bs to cater to lesser fuckes like angel palm (it worked it seems).
also that pair kung fu movie is old but not ad good as other old flicks like the young master, drunken master bruce flicks etc. dont see any reason why it would even be in anybodys top 10 best martial arts flicks.
