So i picked up SSF4.
The experiment i am going to do is that i have not yet actually tried it.
I’m going to go blind into it having only played Vanilla SF4 for about a week and not remembering much of it i’m just going to go into player and ranked matches record how much i fail and my reactions to it.
Why ?
Mainly cause it will probably be funny.
So I’m listening to WakeupSRK right now, and Keits just admitted that about 12 people who wanted to play HDR got accidently put into Puzzle Fighter HDR and that tournament should have had 50+ entries. That would have made it larger than T6 and the second largest EVO Game at MWC… Good stuff to all the HDR players showing up in Chicago! Let’s keep that type of momentum up!

Me personally I would sit in a dark corner. I cannot imagine gaming without HDR.

I prefer an offline game to an online game.
GGPO started giving me fits which is why I haven’t been on there lately.
I always preferred Ms. Pac-Man to the original; multiple boards made a huge difference for me.

Who can make a definitive list during a lunch break? Ha! I love Contra. My favorite Contra aside from the original is Super Contra (Contra 3). Man those were great games.

Well MS is in control of the servers for Xbox so it all depends on how long Xbox Live sticks around.

Seeing how they’ve cut off support for original XBox games on XBox Live, I wouldn’t be surprised if they cut off support for XBox 360 game eventually, too. By the time that happens I’m sure emulators will have caught up and you can just play HDR on GGPO or the like.

Well XBLA is a big part of Xbox Live, and it’s digital. I’m pretty confident they will allow transfer of XBLA titles you purchased (Download them again) to their next gen console. MS must have taken that into consideration when developing XBLA.
I’m not too sure about 360 games because of what you said. Not every original Xbox game was Backwards Compatible, so who knows what they will do.
If 360 games are not BC with the next gen console (Same thing with the next Sony console), then HDR is in pretty good shape since fighting game tourneys will need to keep the 360/PS3’s to play SSF4.
