Turok 2 was my favorite turok out of 1 and 2. I never played any after that.

One of the reasons Turok 2 was my favorite was because I actually played it fully and beat it(which gives a slightly different ending), and I remember being in the Hive when my bro walks in and goes “you still haven’t beaten this yet?”

Yeah he beat it after putting in the unlock all cheats code. :rofl:

IDK why this thread has become the GD thread, but whatever, might as well jump on the bandwagon. :razzy:

1 HDR/ST (best fighters ever)
2 Vagrant Story (best action RPG ever)
3 Chrono Trigger (best RPG ever)
4 Final Fantasy VI, VII and VIII (got my tag from Sabin’s Blitz Attacks)
5 Super Mario 64 (best 3D platformer ever)
6 Megaman Zero and X series (best 2D platformers ever, dash jumps ftw!)
7 Driver 1, 2 and Parallel Lines (best driving games ever)
8 Resident Evil 1, 2, 3 and Code Veronica (2 being my favorite)
9 Gran Turismo 1 and 2 (best racing games ever)
10 Final Fantasy Tactics (best strategy RPG ever)

I guess you could call me a big fan of Yasumi Matsuno’s work (he was the director for Vagrant Story and FF Tactics). Although I didn’t enjoy FF XII as much as I thought I would, it was still good tho. I haven’t played Ogre Battle yet, but I’m always on the lookout for any version, as I’ve heard it was good too. Other than fighters, I mostly play RPG, action and platforming games. :smokin:

This thread should just be simply called: “The Thread”. LOL.

My top ten games (excluding fighting games, a top ten with 4 versions of SF in it is boring, LOL):

  1. Super Mario All-Stars (SNES) - I cheated to get all the NES classics on the list on one spot!
  2. Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1) - Had to go this high because I still play it all the time to this day.
  3. Super Mario World (SNES) - 2D Mario > 3D Mario.
  4. Bionic Commando (NES) - Needs a true 2D sequel, not remake or 3D.
  5. Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!! (NES) - I need to try the new Wii PO.
  6. Final Fantasy III (SNES) - Best RPG ever, IMO.
  7. Contra (NES) - Played it so much could beat multiple times without dying. Spread Gun FTW.
  8. Flashback (Genesis) - Game still looks good, would make a good XBLA game.
  9. Return Fire (3DO) - Best multiplayer game no one has ever played.
  10. Gears of War 2 (X360) - The only newer non-fighting game that is fun to just pick up and play.

That was hard, and list kinda shows my age, LOL. At least I didn’t have any Atari 2600 games on there (I was tempted with Yar’s Revenge and Defender, though, LOL).

FF-XII probably has the best story of any FF game.

Too bad the gameplay is somewhat abysmal.

Whaaaa? Vann was quite possibly the most generic main character for a mainstream FF game ever. Over Lightning even! I like to pretend there hasn’t been a new FF since FFX :lol:

It’s all about dat Final Fantasy VIII (aka the most under-appreciated FF ever).

When you have characters like Balthier, Gabranth etc etc i am okay with one Shounen style main hero.
Atleast he’s not as horrible of a character that Squall is.

Atrocious failure? Them’s fightin’ words! I’ll admit Balthier was cool, but that was about it. FF12 wasn’t horrible, but like FF9 I had no desire to ever play through it again.

I love how FFVIII still polarizes today. FF fans ether love it or say it was complete shit. I’d like to think FFXIII can take some of that vitriol away from the later camp :lol:

In that link Blitzfu gave, some guy called Sirlin “David Sirloin.” I lol’d :frowning: FF is nothing compared to the greatness of Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, Fallout, and KOTOR. BTW - if I ever “retire” I want you guys to PROMISE me I’ll get a thread as epic as this one.

Can someone tell me what I’m supposed to do in SSF4 after knockdown? So far meaty attack, focus attack, and taunt all lose to wake up ultra.
