Its F… dissapointing that F+HK will stay the same… besides from being close to useless… it even looks bad.
Oh well there are probably those who are still waiting to unvail Fei Longs hidden potential… so lets put our thrust in them. lol
Maybe they should have put some of the moves in his two ultras as Specials… like the jumping stop kick or the punch combos.
But basically,its boring and sad for dedicated Fei players to not get any significant change to a character that could use some.
I want some god dam tools to deal with Zangief and he`s stupid new outfit.
I think Capcom just isn’t interested in Fei that much. It’s like he’s a filler character.
im a dedicated Fei player and im happy enough he gets a new Ultra. I never even had my hopes up that Capcom would bother tweaking Fei.
On a side note, i have a good feeling that hes going to get nerfed rather than buffed.

No offense to Azrael, who has been doing an amazing job with the translations thus far, but there was slightly more to what was said here than what was translated.
“No big changes” means nothing on par with giving him a new move like Sagat’s scar.
However, they are making small adjustments to buff his overall character.
The bit about Rekka Shinken and chicken wing also suggested that those weren’t the only changes. Grammatically the sentence was a not all encompassing list ending with an “And more!”
I think they were being vague on purpose.
So don’t lose hope yet, Fei players.

Is Rekkashinken the correct translation, and not Rekkashingeki? I honestly cannot think of anything “wrong” with Fei’s super that would warrant a buff. It’s one of the few things about his game that I’m 100% satisfied with.
His ultra I needs work, to the extent of cammy use of her ultra I with a FADC.
And the fact that his new ultra is a counter is trash. regular ultras are counters already.
i can do yangs rekkas perfectly in strike but Fei’s rekkas feel weird. different from ST and HDR.
Why not change his chicken wing to QCB like in HDR as well?

Because… it’s not? It’s QCF in HDR and probably will be in SSF4 as well. I actually don’t care since I kinda like the stupid input he’s got now. I actually mess up way more in HDR than I do in SF4 because of the shortened input.
QCB would be a nightmare. Not only would it cause potential conflict with his flame kick if you’re walking backwards, but it’s one direction away from his tenshin throw.
I guess that’d be neat as a punisher, but really, does anyone use it like that now? I’m not complaining since I’ll take anything – just seems like an odd buff for Fei to get.
It sucks you walk foward, then make a Flame Kick for punishing a jump-in, and turning out the move the game inputs it’s the command grab because of the horrible shortcuts this game has. Is so fucking annoying I hope they change this somewhat, because it’s a fucking huge bug.
not a bug, just the shortcut system working against fei.
and not they’re not getting rid of the shortcuts sadly.
I’m all for QCF+K for Flying kick. it’ll make the FADC xx Flying kick SOOO much easier/better. since we wont have to input F,F,HCF,UF (dash -> flying kick) that can mess up and give us dash -> Tenshin
I suppose changing it to DP+K would be the correct solution.
