fei’s ex fire kick is a killer

There were so many times where I would want to anti air while moving back and forth. But instead of hitting downback I hit some type of shortcut for tenshin grab and the opponent lands a full damage combo because of it :frowning:

Also I hope fei gets a average throw range, because it feels like his is one of the shortest rangest in the game.

The problem with Fei’s chicken wing is not the command; it’s the ridiculous start up time they patched into SFIV. I’ve lost faith that Capcom will do anything to improve him.

You can dodge fireballs with it and you can combo off of it. I’m not saying it should be completely unchanged, but I think it’s pretty fair.

Gen’s wtf kick can hit on crossup.

Weird that they gave her Tanden Renki as her SUPER and not Seichusen.

The more news that comes out for SSF4 the more it seems that capcom is content with not buffing fei in any way helpful to fei users.

“Although we haven’t made any big adjustments to Fei Long himself, we have made adjustments to characters who had a strong up-close game so if we’re talking about offensive power, I believe Fei Long is stronger in this game because of that.”

^ meaning they aren’t going to buff fei but they buffed other characters with close up games…and believe that some how makes fei stronger O_o

I have never had any problems with his super unless this is a typo and they mean his ultra. Also chicken wing command was never the problem for fei users, the fact that it has long startup time, it doesn’t hit overhead and it flies over crouching opponents who can punish when it lands were the culprits. The long command was never a problem after the first month.

Capcom, so far you disappoint.

Text in bold…looks like they NERFED characters that HAD a strong up close game, so this goes in Fei’s advantage.

On the plus side, Fei STILL isn’t up on the japanese site with ultra previews. That leads me to believe they’re still tweaking him.

Okay, this has been bothering me for years now: what is the REAL name of Fei Long’s fighting style? Hitenryuu is a japanese name, and kung fu is chinese style, so it should have a chinese name. Is there one, or capcom go all nihon-centric with this character?

It’s called Fictional 2D Bruce Lee Inspired Fighting.

The real martial art Bruce Lee invented himself is called Jeet Kune Do (Way of the Intercepting Fist), and he was also practitioner of Wing Chun (Eternal Spring). Fei Long moves are based on this two martial arts since he is a character based on Bruce Lee.

Capcom needs to buff his gonads, they took a serious nerf from makoto’s punch.
