:u: damn man alright calm down, only ep3 theres going to be a whole lot more questions raised than answers for sure. What makes you think Smokey wants to return the the temple, it’s more likely he wants to kill everyone there. Jacob sent Jack and Co there because the others could protect them, its becoming more and more obvious they are key to Jacob’s plan.
Quite possibly. It’s still in the air for now, seeing as we just saw some old figure sitting in the chair.
Also, Claire told Kate not to bring Aaron to the island, not Kate, herself.
Seems bad? And? Impersonating Yemi and killing Mr Eko doesn’t seem bad to you? Or more recently, impersonating Alex to fuck with Ben just so “Locke” could manipulate Ben to kill Jacob. Mean much?
btw, don’t take it personal everyone else does not share your sentiments on the episode. I personally think it sucked because I hate Kate, and on the verge of hating Jack since the last season. Him getting Mortal Kombatted was very rewarding!
@Furious One- Err sorry for this late reply, but rewatch the begging of Season 5’s finale for what I mean ^_^;
Jack taking the pill was awesome IMO.
Wonder if Jack will comply with Dogen? Killing Said seems to be a possible way of getting rid of AntiJacob’s influence, unless there’s another alternative.
Ethan did not mindfuck me BTW, ending did. …and yes why’d they kill the black guy? He really didn’t deserve it!
That reminds me…lets talk about Ethan for a minute! In the original time line, Ethan was already on the island getting ready to infiltrate the survivors. Now with the plane landing safely, somehow he’s on planet earth playing doctor?? You’re telling me within a few short hours, he takes a submarine and ends up in the real world already ready to make his rounds as if he wasn’t just on mystery freakin island???
You will have to remind me what we were talking about, but I need to rewatch that season anyway.
Jack got hit with Akuma’s focus attack.
It’s quite ironic that we were talking about how we were saying they’ve forgotten about Michael and Walt,
This ep pretty much proved that.
No, pretty much, it is the timeline that was created when Sawyer and the others went back into time.
They interacted with the Dharma folk and got them off of the island, then blew it up, sinking it and thus Ethan lived a normal life, instead of being raised alongside Ben and eventually taken in by the Others. So he was never on the island in the new time line, just like Desmond never was on it to create the venting that caused the original crash.
Clair flashback anyone? How did she learn to use a gun and set traps and live out in the jungle like Rousseau? Did Rousseau kidnap her and show her the ropes, and did she get the infection from her? Dammnit lost for introducing more questions than answering them. Hopefully we’ll get a flashback for her explaining what happened on the island the last 3 years.
Jap dude told Jack that his “sister” was infected. His sister is claire.
He also said they were trying to help Sayid, when in reality they were trying to kill him. Can’t really believe that guy’s word with “infections”. Why them? Why not anybody else all these years on the island?
They’re helping him by killing him; if they don’t kill him he ends up like Rosseu’s old french buddies that went crazy.
How does Shang Tsung know Claire is Jack’s sister? I guess that’s the obvious question, but by now I am tired of all the questions, I want ANSWERS!
I think the Smoke monster isn’t from the Island. He said he wants to go home. That’s all ET ever wanted too. He must be an alien!
I think the Temple is its home; didn’t it pull something underneath the temple in one of the previous seasons?
Didn’t Clairs dad appear and she followed him into the woods…thats how she disappeared correct? (Assuming that the Smoke was Jack’s Dad…why didn’t the smoke take Clair out?)
I don’t think the ash circle around the cabin was meant to keep the smoke monster out; the smoke monster apparently can’t move directly against Jacob. I think the circle was meant to keep Jacob in.
Didn’t the new “others” start spreading it around the temple? Also, that one dude who thought he was smart and made a circle, only to have the roof collapse on his ass in the first episdoe. I assumed it was something he/it couldn’t get through. Didn’t someone kick the ash around the log house? (Hurley I believe)
yes, the circle protects you from the monster, but I don’t think that’s why the ash was around the cabin. The smoke monster can’t directly affect Jacob, or else it would have killed him a long time ago. There’s no need for him to have the ash around his cabin.
Maybe I’m mistaken, but did they ever show the French team go crazy? All I remember is Danielle screaming they’re not themselves and ranting about them being infected.
Yeah, when Jin was stuck on the Island with the French team he was there just in time to see one of the French crew say he wasn’t crazy only to try to shoot Danielle a split second later. I think that’s proof that crazy or not, something in that temple changed them.
First things first, the alternate paradox: As far as Ethan is concerned, him being in LA is important for 2 reasons. First, it means that exploding the bomb in the past actually sunk the island. And THAT means that the electromagnetism at the center was what was “powering” what we can now officially assume was a space craft of some sort. Secondly, it means that Ethan did officially get off of the island in the submarine before the device went off. So, kind of neat.
Now, as far as Sayid is concerned: THE OTHERS LIE! That’s what they do. When Hurley asked what was on the paper inside the ankh, Lennon told him “it says that if your friend dies, we’re in big trouble.” That contradicts them trying to kill him. Makes no sense and can only mean they were lying at some point which means you can’t trust them. Also, is Shang Tsung only recently the leader after Ben left? He already has a translator? they CANNOT be trusted. just because they’re allies of Jacob doesnt mean you can trust them.
Michael Season 6?
