WTF?! Ok, it was good (I guess…) but c’mon… worst ending ever… I really didn’t like that whole :“Final Season, 2010” … pissed me off… just when I was getting all hyped and excited because I thought I was actually gonna see what the heck was gonna happen to everybody, then BAM… wtf…
So, I’ll assume that the loophole that was mentioned in the beginning, then referenced at the end involves Jacob and the other dude unable to kill one another directly; that’s where Ben comes in…
I get pissed whenever they leave me with a cliffhanger. Why do you gotta make a guy jump through hoops to get to his crack? It’s like this every season, and I still get mad as soon as the crack runs out. Anyway.
I hate cliffhangers
[details=Spoiler]Like someone else said in this thread, I’m wondering if Christian (and now Locke) is actually the guy on the beach in the beginning who wanted to kill Jacob. If he is, then that may mean he can only come back in the form of dead people either brought to the island, or people who died on the island.
Jacob may be able to use the same abilities. Considering the lack of a struggle against Ben, I’m betting we haven’t seen the last of Jacob. I just wonder who he’s going to come back as.[/details]
I just hope this series doesn’t end like The Dark Tower did. I’ve never been more pissed off over anything in my life. Well, a few things, but nothing as trivial as a book’s ending. Lost better not be something else I get pissed about.
Id look for story arc involving walt next season, i dont think they would just write him out. Plus they showed him this season(last?) to just keep him in the back of the viewers mind.
So i geuss egyptian shit is def involved with the island?
Ben/Charles- i got the feeling they also couldnt kill each other directly…hmmm? Remember they talked about “the rules”, seemed similar to jacob/mystery beach man.
Who are the new survivors?
Also it was cool to see someone manipulating ben for once
Pretty much this finale does explain that Jacob, Smoke Monster and Dead Face Stealer are all not the same guy/entity. And there is a possibility that we will see others like them later on, given the candidate talk and of course as Rex0r has mentioned, thanks to the time skip, it is viable to bring Walt in now despite his aging.
[details=Spoiler] few thoughts
?poor Locke just a pawn this whole time. I feel bad for his character.
?so dude can take over dead bodies, that’s why he told Richard to tell real Locke he had to die to come back.
?Richards gift of youth is there to sort of protect Jacob? He was the only one with real contact to Jacob.
?Bets on wether the time line changed? I don’t know yet im undecided!

Jacob’s enemy was most likely the person in the cabin in “the man behind the curtain” who said “Help me” to Locke and exhibited other wrathful behavior. The cabin was surrounded by a circle of ash. In 2007, when Jacob’s enemy appears to be moving around the island in the form of John Locke, the ring of ash around the cabin is shown to have been broken, suggesting that Jacob’s enemy has been set free and that he was in fact the one in the cabin in the first place, whom Ben mistakenly thought was Jacob.
I JUst wanna say… as much as i’ve enjoyed the rollercoaster ride ive been on for the last 5 years. i was pretty excited to see the next season 2010 is gonna be the last season… FINALLY… i just hope they cover all questions properly… im gonna go crazy if its a empty end of a nice series I.E Sopranos…
the end of sopranos was anything but empty. there are so many clues in that episode (in the entire season, actually) that tells you what happens. it really was brilliant.
“Do you know who that was?”
“No, but his korean was excellent.”
finale

My thoughts:
When jacob dies he said “they’re coming.” Did he mean the people who built the statue in the first place?
For someone so important, jacob just went down like a punk. But if jacob dies, does that mean that Richard looses his immortality? Where did Jacob get his powers in the first place?
The fake Locke is that guy jacob was talking to at the beginning of the episode, right?
I’m still wondering why they were taking the kids and why Walt is so important…and what are these candidates?
Awesome finale! Ben and Kate need to go though. Both are too whiney. For some reason I think hurley’s guitar case has to do with Charlie and I’m starting to wonder if the person who died in this episode will come back as Charlie. Like what happened with Locke. Hope that makes sense since I’m typing on my phone heh. The end ruled hard!
This makes me think that Christian might not have been Christian and that it may have, in fact, been the guy that shape-shifted himself to look like Locke. Who fucking knows. Only SEVEN more months until we find out!!!
was anyone able to understand what jacob was discussing with the other dude? like what was motivating jacob to bring people to the island? he wanted to prove something?
[details=Spoiler]The all idea of this episode IMO is about how everything was manipulated and re-arranged by Smokey/Christian/guy from the begining of the ep/fake Locke
My guess its either a big “game” about controlling the island and ofcourse they cant kill each other (somethig like the deal between Ben and Widmore) or if fake Locke does manage to kill Jacob who is like a guardian of something well… all hell break loose
Fake locke is some kind of a trickster god like Loki or most probaly Set beacuse of the big statue and the hyrogliyphs and ofcourse he can take forms of dead people (Christian Locke Alex Horace)
and Jacob well he is the good counter part[/details]
