Jack is Jacob theory
i was a bit disappointed when “Christian” was present outside of 2004+. instead we see him as Locke was spinning the wheel and at the barracks with Sun & Frank. both of which i assumed were prior to 815’s crash.
i had hoped he was simply a physical manifestation of the onboard traveling corpse departing from Sydney. this would parallel him to Locke in that they were both luggage in the respective crashes:
Flight Oceanic 815 - Christian Shepherd
Flight Ajira 316 - John Locke
it would be cool if Locke wasn’t really Locke at all… but rather Jacob-incarnate. or at least a direct peer of island-Christian. but if island-Christian was present prior to 815’s crash… kinda invalidates my theory.

You know what episode i wanna see soon, how bout a Richard flashback? Too good! Cant wait to find out about him.
This is what I have been waiting for for a long time. But I’m thinking it will be done next season. Also, expect a hella long tease of a wait until next season to see his story.
It’s possible was the wizards first name ever revealed? The person Locke saw was Jacob. Jacob could be a phantom of sorts or future Kate. Whatever it is it’s name at that point was Jacob.
Pretty good episode. I still think Season 4 is my favorite.
Some things that I hope will get answered before this show ends. Obvious ones are what’s up with the smoke monster, the 4-toed statue, Jacob, who are the ajira people working for etc… but here are some other minor ones that I hope they explain.

In the notebook, Faraday wrote “if anything should go wrong, desmond hume will be my constant”. Now that Faraday is dead, what’s going to happen with this.

Dr. Chang’s aliases. Why does he use a different alias in the DHARMA orientation films?
Season 3 was great, but S4 takes the cake as the craziest, most satisfying season. S5 is just crazy, but not particularly satisfying, since they’re throwing so many answers out to us.
The constant has been found, when he went to see Desmond in the hatch during that flash. He set things in motion when he told her to find Eloise and now the loop is closed? now that he is dead.
It’s been said that we won’t revisit Libby this season. Pissed me off too, cause she’s touched the lives of some important people (Hurley, Desmond)
No one really knows, but it’s rather more important to ask why he has a fake arm in some videos (time-travel is making this make much more sense). :tup:
I’m not so sure if that was what the constant referred to. When someone’s conciousness is shifting back and forward thru time, the constant is something that exists in both times that their mind can latch on to.
When Faraday went to the Hatch… it wasn’t really the same case. Faraday was actually moving thru time whereas only Desmond’s conciousness was shifting thru time.
Also, why was that note written in the notebook in the first place?
Dang. That sucks. Libby and Charlotte are the two main characters that never got a flashback episode.

That could still possibly work. Christian hasn’t appeared since Locke woke up on the island from what it seems. Because Locke wasn’t up and about until a while after Sun and the Captain left and met Christian in the Dharma barracks.
I’ve been waiting on that, too, but after the whole DUI incident, I’m not surprised they haven’t followed up on that.
