Well that is just one theory, fuck it, that was probably the best season finale the show has had due to the interesting plot points it brings into play. Anyone see the alternate endings they had on Good Morning America or something?
sambao’s quote from the tv trivia page fleshes out the whole locke => bentham thing for me. i actually remember reading about bentham’s panopticon a while back; it’s certainly appropriate to frame the upcoming season in the context of a giant prison system. but back to locke, i can’t see bentham as anything other than his “second rebirth,” the first being where as someone pointed out earlier: from getting pwned his whole life to finally becoming the tribal leader on the island.
@ the folks mentioning desmond: somehow i doubt that ben includes desmond (and frank) in his “all of you need to come back,” speech. for some reason, it just seems like he means the oceanic 6 +/- the babies. i think desmond will be involved in a semi-tangential ben-revenge plotline and die in the real world.
im really curious as to what the “bad things” that happened were after jack & co. left. i hope it has something to do with a massively bloody war of attrition between sawyer and locke lol.

Damn… I stopped in the middle of s3 because I got fed up with the show going fucking nowhere. Does it change like, during the rest of S3/S4?
Yeah actually. I almost quit midway through season 3 too. It got really good again near the end of 3, and 4 was one of the best seasons yet.
If you miss a season you are pretty fucked. Luckily you can go to ABC/NBC [whatever the fuck that hosts this show] and catch up on the seasons. Granted you will get nailed with 30sec - 1 minute mini-commericals about Tampax or Car commerical the quality is really good and there is a hi-def option. It essentially does go no where only to go somewhere… and then it disappears. Yes that would be the best way to describe season 4.
Overall I just watch the show to mock all it’s plot-holes to a friend of mine that is a total fanboy… who funny enough is a film student that wants to make his debut show like Lost. Set sail to Fail! :amazed:
