They had to lie because there was no proof of what actually happened, so instead of coming off as a couple of nut jobs that were lost at sea for a while, they lied. Don’t get the whole, protecting others nonsense, but the logical thing to do after all that shit would be to lie.
That or Locke performed some Code Geass shit on Jack that triggered when the big shit went down.

Pretty much all the main characters, aside have easy ways to be written back into the show. You never see Jin on the boat after the explosion and Jack’s dad appearance before Micheal just before the bomb goes off.
Although the later is much less likely.
Anyone else shocked Kate had a dream telling her NOT to bring the kid back to the island? From what Ben said at the end, everyone had to go back. Although it will be nuts trying to convince Kate, Hurley, Frank and Desmond to go back.

why in the WORLD would Frank and Desmond want to go back? Frank only went to prove the existence of the real Oceanic and Desmond found Penny so its going to be real interesting to see how the writers get those two back on the island. From the dream Kate had, looks like shes finally convinced to go back, but is just told not to bring Aaron with her. The guy in the coffin was just a mindfrak. I wondered what the hell happened to him, if he got killed by the others when he came out, or he got killed while on the mainland?

I am curious about the babies now. With them so serious about finding a way to give birth on the island, the episode with Nestor checking out young Locke, Aaron supposed to stay off the island, and then the red head chick that is trying to find out where she was born. Almost makes me think it might have something to do with some kind of birthright to lead the others/run the island.
No fucking idea… the wait until next season will be annoying.
