The LOST thread

LOST is hsuch an epic event…a lot of people don’t realize that a massive amount of backstory is not aired on the show, you gotta play the game, watch the mobisodes and play the parallel reality sims.

The LOST wiki is a good source for things about lost not aired on the show

^That’s another unfortunate relation it has with the Matrix trilogy. They too encouraged you to play the game, watch the Animatrix, etc. For all the backstory nonsense.

Kate doesn’t look half bad in that game! Graphics look pretty decent. Kinda makes me want to play it now too.

I kinda don’t want to play anymore. I don’t mind putting up with some of the questionable character models and voice-overs (Charlie’s is baaaaaaad), but it’s the goddamn constant loading that I’m getting sick of.

Shit is just fucking up the pace lol.

WTF was Kate doing with Aaron?

this is some marty mcfly shit right here

crazy episode so far

I read a theory about mirrored universes and the island being the center with the hatches being windows into them (was it in this thread?) and I thought after that it was going on in this episode. But maybe instead of that the island is the nexus of the time universe and the numbers are the key to the equation to balance time travel. ;l

lol her address is 423, has both 42 and 23 in it (dun dun dun)

damn that episode was awesome! now we know faraday isn’t autistic or whatever we thought he was. it was all that radiation.

desmond’s storyline never disappoints dude.

I know right?

It’s episodes like this, that make me glad I stuck with the show when the story got slow.

yeah the beginning of season 3 was real bad…

so is desmond from 2004 back at the end?

was faraday’s journal note about desmond being his constant from the past? what does that mean anyway? why would it be desmond? so do they always jump back 7 years? so does faraday remember meeting him? i’m so confused about all this time travel shit.

Charlieeeeeeeeeee.

About Daniel and Des, in 96 Des asks him if “we’re changing the future,” and he says no. Apparently that’s not the case since he made a diary entry about their meeting and thus becomes connected to Des.

^maybe he didn’t change it and was there all along. his memory is fried remember?

what did they say about charlie in this episode?

Whos memory is fried? Des or Dans? Dan needs Des or else he can’t stop the time traveling.

Penny told Des that Charlie talked to her about the island.
I know about the island, I’ve been researching it… when I spoke to your friend Charlie, I knew you were alive.

Random cameos - Doctor is from CSI, the guy that was getting mad at Frank was one of the nazi brothers in Smokin Aces. Penny is actually in The Sarah Connor Chronicles as well lol.

Any takers on who opened the door? Frank would be too obvious, so it’s back to Ben’s spy aka Season 1.

Yeah I’m sure it was Ben’s spy. Man what an amazing episode. That was easily the best episode since anything from the first two seasons. Maybe even the best episode period. But my memory sucks, so I’m sure there were some badass eps early on that I’ve forgotten about.

Dan had some interesting diagrams in his journal. Something with 9 circles connected with lines of “real time,” “space time,” “imaginary time,” and “imaginary space.”

Of course I have no clue what to make of that, but it’s something the Lost-heads will be stroking their beards over for some time to come.

faraday’s. remember the 3 card monte he was playing? he couldn’t remember even 3 cards.

as for who opened the door…i bet it’s michael dude. ben’s spy!

i like the black rock auction bit talking about only hanso having read the journal

omigod.

that was the best episode of Lost this season.

The whole Des and Penny phone reunion was the best moment for me.

Desmond flashbacks episodes have kicked ass since the end of the second season. It is good that it continued in fine form this season. It does sort of explain what happened back in season three, although it doesn’t explain the old lady jeweler, her father buying the book plants seeds for how Penny knows about the island.

Anyone else really dislike Kate centric episodes? They just sort of drag with her storylines being overly dramatic and less substantial.
