Just got mine today as well, looks great and feels perfect. This is a round 2 TE with a full plexi from tek-innovations.
These are looking really good. I want to use these to convert my cab into a desk. I’m in for at least 2 as soon as they are available.
how are these guys getting one already? is it up for sale already?

Man, I get excited everytime I see this thread bumped. I’m going to be checking this every hour on the hour until these are up for sale. I’m down for at least two.
Beta test phase, currently it’s a closed beta so that I can get as much feedback as possible. Already have some invaluable info from the testers that will go straight into the final design.
They won’t be for sale until well after EVO probably. Once the design is completely finalized and all parts locked it’s just a matter of getting them fabricated. I want to make sure the design is perfect before doing that though.
Don’t worry, they’ll definitely be made, but I don’t want to rush anything.
For now beta testers are all US based to keep downtime at a minimum. Overseas stuff will come at a little later time, maybe the next run of units after the tweaks are done.
you should be excited cuz this is revolutionary. its gonna be so cool to own one of these come official release date.
@phreak, what exactly are you looking to change or tinker some more on the current phase?
I want to be a beta tester! Do you have enough of those already or can I be one too?
It’s extremely exciting to me to hear someone say that this is revolutionary. As a developer that’s probably the best thing someone can tell you about what you’ve created.
Currently the spring size is being tweaked, it’s a bit bigger than it should be. By bigger I mean somewhere in the thousands, lol.
I don’t really have any more units at the moment that I feel comfortable sending out. Currently I should have enough beta testers to cover all grounds at the moment though.
Are you still be bringing some of these to Evo? If so, I am gonna try even harder to make it to there cuz this would win #1 best new product and would be a priceless souvenir. I am prepared to give you a substantial amount of money (but please, don’t make me) for two of these if I can hunt you down at Evo!
So after messing around with it a bit here is a nitpick.
The Hex key slot on the inside of the detachable shaft seems a little large for my mini TE Keychain hex key. Ideally it should be the same size as the key used for the top bolts. I’m not sure of the size of it. So when I tightened my ball top, I felt some looseness on my hex key and was afraid to tighten and strip the inner hex walls.
Might be due to the hex being measured in imperial and not metric. Had the same issue with some screws spenzalii sent me where the TE hex key wouldn’t fit.
Oh geeze, I’m an idiot. In a rush to pack things up I forgot to include the 1/8" hex key for you guys. I have a bag of them on my counter and forgot to pack one up for you.
The TE hex size key will work, but yes you are correct there is a looseness. The reason we didn’t use the metric size is because of bit size limitation for boring that out.
no worries, I have a multi-size hex key tool.

I was hoping the Allen Wrench be included.
Because I know that in the video, the size is not same as TE.
I can’t find my Allen Wrench tool. :sad:
TE wrench should work just fine though, it’s what I used when putting together the beta units and testing them out. It’s only a little loose, it doesn’t spin or anything.
