Yeah basically you can grip the spring and twist the shaft until the spring slinks back into place underneath the C clip. If you still feel tension and it can do that, you’re solid.
I’ve had to do that a couple of times. The groove lets the C clip spin, but once in a while due to tolerances one may stick more than others and the spring can come up and over it, it’s not a huge deal, just do the above and you’re back in action.
There’s supposed to be 3, but it will work just fine with 2.
Out of curiosity, when did you get that unit? The older units had issues with the ball holes, the later ones were more dialed in and the balls wouldn’t fall through anymore.
I was wondering. With the LS-32 version of the link, are you going to make the shaft fit the stock c-ring or do we have to get a different e-clip/c-ring.
Typically with KS fulfillments, a survey is sent out reminding you of how much you pledged, and asking how you want your pledge fulfilled. That’s where you can specify what you want when a tier has multiple awards, or if you want multiple items from a lower tier.
When Phreak’s ready, I’m sure he’ll send it out. It would also be a good way for him to know who’s planning to pick theirs up at EVO if he gets them ready in time.
Basically yeah what PlayDoh said, I apologize for the wait on the survey but I didn’t want to send it out prematurely when people change addresses and such.
What will happen is in the survey I’ll have a radio button or text spot where you can enter if you want the JLF or LS-32 base, and it will ship with that one. Most likely it will be a notes section so that if you got multiple units you can specify a mix or all of one type. I’ll do my best to make sure everyone gets exactly what they were looking for.
Just a head’s up for those who backed, the LS-32 base was more expensive to make than anticipated, and the kickstarter backers are actually able to snag them for less than they will be in retail. I hope to bring the cost down in the next run, but if you backed and are potentially interested this might be a good time to get one and then a JLF base later on.
Look forward to getting my hands on a link! I backed the kick starter for two myself. If we go for an EVO pickup if there anyway to upgrade/pay difference/flat out buy any black powder coated links? If not I’m fine with regular link.
Phreakazoid mentioned that the KS would raise enough to keep the flow of Links going, so he and his retail partners (like Focus Attack) should have some to sell once he fulfills the backers.

Hey Phreak, I was just wondering - if the KS left you enough to put the Link back in regular production, will you be able to bring back some of those powder-coated options you had once?
For anyone who got the 24mm stick plug and lanyard with their Link this simple mod might interest you. All I did was use my dremel to enlarge the spacing along the side of the plug. Doing so lets the base of the Link on the lanyard fit between the plug. Thus giving you a place to store the stick plug while you have the Link attached to your stick. Of course you could just store the plug in your pocket, in your cord compartment, or open your Razor Atrox and throw it inside, but for some people those might not be a possibility.
I haven’t received any kind of shipping notification. I don’t think they have shipped. Phreak posted a bunch of picks of his assembly line over the weekend so I think we are getting close.
We are. Slated ship date is in July, we are still on track for that. International “may” squeeze over into early august, it really depends on how the end of this week goes. I just need to finalize some stuff with USPS.
