It’s definitely true, and thank you that would be awesome.
I’ve made enough from the kickstarter build to cover every backer and more to essentially make a second run without needing anything like this. The other half of the build will be sold at retail such as focus attack and potential european distributors, all proceeds will go directly into that second run
One question though to anyone. Mine’s installed fine until now. The actuator doesn’t seem very close to fitting, however. I can push it down just past the top of the metal but not close to the ridge to get the ring back on. Is there anything I may be missing?
edit: nevermind, I had the joystick joint backwards
I didn’t notice until recently that the tension strength is a lot more than the initial batches. I don’t think I’ve been able to brute force pull the Link off with the kickstarter batch.
When will those of us unfortunate to have just found out about this now be able to buy? I really want one with a keychain. Will the keychain attachment be available when this goes up for sale normally again?
Is there supposed to be play in the joystick when the top and bottom are connected? It seems a little odd. I haven’t played much with it yet but it might be an issue. I will update tonight after I get to spend some quality time with it.
I did install a 2lb spring and a .5mm oversized actuator so it will probably compensate. I just hope that it doesn’t cause any execution errors. I need all the help I can get. LoL. I’m scrubtastic. I haven’t played much at all with it yet though so I will post here after I test. Did you notice any issues when playing?
Mine came in a couple days ago, installing later in the weekend. New unit feels even more solid than my gen 1, it’ll be nice to have Links on both of my in-circulation sticks. Also very excited for the lanyard attachment; classy and excellent as expected. Great job as usual, Phreak!
Nah someone got it like on Monday, glad it arrived safe and sound though!
Not sure, most likely early September, I have a lot of stuff to catch up on. Trying to finish up shipping the units, I’ll work on that afterward. Lanyard stub will be a staple for sure, expect that to be available.
No, the deadzone that was heavily noticed in the old version has been addressed by increasing the diameter of the base to the size of the stock shaft (it was slightly undersized in gen1). You may notice a tiny bit more but remember that it’s more top heavy than the stock shaft too, which can throw people off at first. Give it a little play time to get used to it.
The older versions as I said it was noticable, we tried to address it with some post-production powder coating of the bases, which helped immensely. These gen2’s mimic the powder coat fix.
I should hope so, you’ll find the tension strength has increased dramatically and overall feel should be improved as well. I’m glad you like it, the lanyard stub is so cool.
I don’t see any incoming from that email, can you PM me please with your information so I can check against my master list. I actually don’t see any paypal payments from that address either
I haven’t noticed any issues from switching the spring. But I haven’t got to play that much with it. I may have to get a gen2 when I can and try it out.
Nah you can get them through me right now, I just didn’t put the link up on the site because… well honestly I hate my site right now and need to spend quality time fixing it.
Shoot me an email and I’ll get you squared away, same price as FA, shipping will be $6 through USPS flat rate since it gives tracking and all that.
