First ever Kickstarter backing. Excited to get one of these in. I have an older Link and it seems like the spring part is coming off (spring is physically sticking out). I haven’t checked it out in a while, but is there any way to fix it?
I always wondered. Is the shaft the exact length as the stock JLF shaft? Looking into this as something to maybe shorten throw without using a bigger actuator.
Very first page, very first post: “When in place, the Link is identical in height, allowing for you to drop it right into your current arcade stick that has a Sanwa JLF and feel no difference.”
I actually added another $35 at the very few last seconds. I got the congrats from kickstarter and also a confirmation from amazon saying I’m paying $70…
Is that going to be an issue? I hope not! I want an LS along wth JLF
Kickstarter says it will take up to 14 days to collect all funds, so until then I’m basically going to be setting everything up to prepare. You guys will likely get an initial survey to fill out if there’s some info I need right away.
22k is nuts, I’m in awe of how this turned out. I really can’t wait to get these new pieces done, the stub piece is pretty damn cool.
Yup what shichi said, KS eats 5% off the top and then amazon payments takes some for CC handling, just like paypal does.
Looks like things are being transferred faster than anticipated, depending how this week goes I could potentially get the order in faster than I thought.
Will there be any way to order the shaft hole cover and the dust washer from you at any point? Just wondering because I didnt get back to add funds to my Kickstarter donation before it ended.
As far as I am aware it is a hopeful possibility.
Just give Phreak some time to get everything settled - manufacturer, rec’d orders for The Link (both JLF & LS-32), Dust washer & cap, custom fight sticks (artwork, mods, etc), backpacks, key-chain, lanyard, etc.
Then he has to sort through the backers and find out who wants which Link. Who ordered what additional pieces - lanyard/keychain or dust washer & hole plug. Who gets backpacks, who gets the sticks, etc.
Just be patient and he’ll get all the info out - including the KS backers and plans for the future.
My (white) link has stopped detaching - it won’t come off even if I tug it (as it were). Is there a fix for this, or an obvious issue that might be causing it? Thanks!
Yes this is probably going to be possible. I keep meaning to put up a way for people to continue to pledge/donate via amazon payments, just haven’t done it yet. My internet was out this weekend so I didn’t get to sit down and get it handled/figured out. I plan on continuing to have them available afterward in any case.
No, sorry man. Like I said my internet was out at my house this weekend so I haven’t done it. I’ll get it done this week.
Wait, did I replace the one you have already?
You can take the stuck link out of the assembly, release the collar and bang the base on the end of a table or something around it’s circumference. That should knock the balls loose back into position, allowing you to separate the pieces. After that, use a little rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip to clean the top and bottom interlocking faces.
Hah, it’s more of a constant tapping to vibrate them loose, but yes it’s definitely a “hit things against things” type of repair, which are my favorite. My car always seems to require that type of repair. Window not rolling down? Smash the door with your fist right above the speaker. That’s a dead serious fix I’ve had to do a few times.
How would I fix the spring coming up and being 90% clearly visible (along with the Link not working correctly)? I twisted it until it seemed to lock back into the c ring piece and it seems to work alright. Is that sufficient or should I try something else? Also, how many balls are there supposed to be? When I popped it out the other day, I only saw two.
