The Link: The Quick-Disconnect JLF Shaft!

Right now, there’s no stock anywhere other than possibly with Phreakazoid himself.

Yes. And I believe it’s been brought up before in the thread somewhere already.
I use bat tops exclusively, and I use them on both my Link shafts. It does, however, make the collar slightly harder to lift up, though.

Yeah, I didn’t read the entire thread. I guess these things are hard to get a hold of anyways though. Thanks for the answer though.

Yes it can. I use one now. I also use an extender to help it be less awkward.

Hey i’m looking to purchase one if you got it let me know

No, currently I don’t unfortunately. However, keep your eyes open in the next few days here if you want to see these become available again I’ll need yours (and everyone else’s) support.

How do we get this info on the front page of SRK?

Pledged.

I selected the $35.00 tier, but pledged $45.00 to cover non-US postage - that was right, yeah?

Anyway, best of luck with this. Is there a Facebook page/ post I can share with my local scene?

That’s a solid question. I believe Destinydmm forwarded the information to both SRK and eventhubs, which eventhubs it went through for. SRK it may be something that will go up tomorrow, not sure.

Yup, tack on the 10 for non-US. Thank you!

Yeah, they can search me up on facebook just under PhreakMods, or this should go directly there: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Phreak-Mods/169467283103107

My twitter also is linked as well @PhreakMods

I did send a message, but I won’t hurt if more people send SRK the same story. Just let them know about it - you should mention

  1. Its a SRK member and someone who already has contributed a lot to the FGC - @Phreakazoid
  2. Share the Kickstarter link (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/128223884/the-link-quick-release-joystick-shaft), Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Phreak-Mods/169467283103107), twitter (@Phreakmods), website (http://www.phreakmods.com/products/the-link) & The page on Focusattack.com (http://www.focusattack.com/jlf-link/), which will get updated with the kickstarter info soon.
  3. Mention how much he needs and why this should be front page news - its no different than the Skullgirls KS. And this is a great tool/mod that really would benefit anyone who travel with their sticks EVER.

MOST IMPORTANTLY the KS page: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/128223884/the-link-quick-release-joystick-shaft

28%, off to a solid start. Thanks everyone who has helped promote the KS. A TON of hits came from Eventhubs so I can only imagine what would come from SRK or hell even Neogaf

Congrats on a solid start to a KickStarter!

I’m hoping you built in a decent margin for yourself, because 1) you deserve it, and 2) it’d be nice to see you get to a place financially where future runs can be funded comfortably. The product itself is great, but it’s painful to see it constantly teetering on the edge of extinction. I know that runs need to be of a certain size to bring cost down, but having the project sustain itself would be great to see; I would love to know that five years down the line I’ll be able to buy a new one when the TSA inevitably loses my stick/I get a new stick/I want to buy one for a friend. As it is I’m probably gonna end up upping my contribution to get one from the KS just to help out; I’d love to grab more to equip all my sticks, but I’m strapped for cash ATM. It’d be a bummer to see a successful KickStarter not, well, kick-start the project into fiscal self-sufficiency.

Thanks, and I tried to of course price it out to be able to continue the run post-KS. As far as decent margin goes… let’s just say that any margin from this run invested from the KS is going directly to a post-KS run seed savings, which leaves me with very little except the knowledge that I can continue the project after this, which is still pretty cool. So it’s a long term investment for sure but who knows, it may grow.
