Damn close to 4500, still chugging along! The shocker is that this has been popped on almost every FGC based site thus far except SRK, so color me confused on that one. I think SRK would give it another solid boost and get a lot of people on the update mailing list too, which brings me to the next point.
I should be receiving samples of the next tier reward shortly here and once I get it/verify everything is as I hope I can put up the next tier to help it along. Perhaps people will up their pledges or it will push new ones, who knows.

What actually interesting to me is that, at lunch today at the office, a non-gamer colleague came up to me and mentioned he saw a Kickstarter project for a detachable arcade joystick shaft, and immediately thought of me and my hobbies (I’m known to be a big toy/game collector at the office).
I guess word does get around.
I haven’t gotten around to it yet, but I will likely contribute to the Kickstarter soon, even though I already have all the Links that I realistically need. Just because I believe this to be THAT kick-ass of a product.
That’s pretty damn awesome, I’ve put it up on some non-gaming centric forums and stuff just because you never know where it can go.
Much appreciated on the contribution and praise, wait until you see the next tier, it may sweeten the deal a little instead of just being another Link in your collection.
I’m really surprised that a company hasn’t thrown money at you yet for your invention!! I will probably preorder a second one in a couple weeks. I need 2 for my Kraylix. That way I can switch to a bat top when wanted on the fly.
Well, it’s been just over a week and we’ve breached $7,500, which is incredible. I can’t thank everyone enough who’s shown support through the pledging and ESPECIALLY for those who have passed on the information for this project. Seriously, you guys are awesome and it shows me that the community is really behind bringing this back.
On that note, I’ve received a few requests to add additional tiers to give those people who want to pledge more an option. This also is designed to give the people who love the project and want to support it but don’t necessarily use an arcade stick for The Link to be put into.
So, I’ve added 3 new tiers:
$80 Backpack - Get a black polyester backpack (12” W x 18” H x 10” D) with embroidered PhreakMods logo on the front pouch.
$110 Backpack+ - Get a black polyester backpack (12” W x 18” H x 10” D) with embroidered PhreakMods logo on the front pouch, as well as everything in the Pre-order+ reward!

Increase your pledge by $5 for each extra set of accessories that includes one (1) etched dust washer and one (1) cover cap.
This add on is for those who want to get extra Links through the add-on but want the accessories to go with them if they have multiple arcade sticks with The Link installed.

I’m sending the one sample I have of the backpack to the embroidery shop to get a first run sample done. Not sure on the ETA but I’m looking forward to it for sure. The size of it is good, but I’m doubting it will fit wider sticks.
