The Link: The Quick-Disconnect JLF Shaft!

ah right gotcha. thanks.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), you’re gonna have to ride this baby bareback.

Yeeeeeeeehhhhaaaaaaaa!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not 100% on the size of the hole, can anyone test this out? I don’t have a 24mm hole plug in my stock of things.

i remember using a 20mm spade bit a few days ago for my JLF

You got me for at least 5 of these guys when they come out. Awesome design

Facebook thumbsup!

The more I think about this, the more I want one - will you be updating this thread to let us know when we can ask to be beta testers?

really loving the design!! immediately reminded me of a quick release steering wheel and was sold. wish i had one over the holiday season when i was flying.

concern now! you did say the hollow shaft was with weight saving in mind but would allow for future LED mod for the ball top. i was wondering with your hex design for removal/tightening of the ball top, how would that work with wires running through the shaft?

Straight up with wires through the bottom part? no idea since the whole “removing the top” negates wiring an LED straight into the ball/bat top.

I had an idea I was kicking around when I asked for it to be hollowed out, but I don’t think it will work as well as I’d hoped. Eventually I’ll come around to brainstorming a streamlined LED ability, but for now just getting the base product out there is most important.

Not sure about beta testing, that might be a small run for specific people but any updates for availability will be announced here as well as my email list since not everyone checks threads like crazy.

Looking forward to these!

great stuff. Hope this awesome links find it`s way oversea

Hey uh, will this work on Seimitsu sticks at all?

If anodizing isn’t an option due to the shafts being made out of steel, they could probably be powder coated-- only question is, how much would powder coating affect the price?

I ant at least 3 of these as I got 3 sticks with JLF’s…great idea and top notch stuff right here.

I understand this is in its infancy, but… please make one for the LS-40. Thanks for all the hard work you’ve put into this!

Best things to happen to sticks in a long, long time.

Something like powder coating can probably happen, but that would likely be a post process done by someone around here, and it would have to be only the top portion and done pretty carefully so it doesn’t screw up anything. Voltech seems to have a thing with powder coating so perhaps when the time comes someone like him could look into it.

I’m sure that eventually this tech will branch to other style of shafts, which ones I can’t say but whatever has a lot of attention to it and is worth making that adjustment for.

Thank you very much, I’m glad it’s being received this well.

Quoted for Truth, we need this in Europe

Just a thought, but for lighting balltops, could you have a really bright LED in the lower part of the shaft, and then some kind of optical fibre in the upper detachable half to transmit as much of the light as possible into the balltop?
