The Link: The Quick-Disconnect JLF Shaft!

Thats interesting… I bet if the mini washer was countersunk (like kasucodes are)that problem may not occur. Hmmm i can visualize whats probably happening in my head i think

Im using a mini plexi dustwasher and Im having problems with it popping out too
I thought it was because i wasnt putting it right because of the bat top, but i guess ill try taking out the dustwasher and ill see if it fixes the problem

Perhaps sanding the inside of the dustwasher a little would help the problem a bit…

Yeah, I be the mini’s have a slightly smaller ID than the stock JLF ones do that fit over the shaft covers. They’re also probably slightly thicker too, I’m guessing what’s happening is you push it one way and the edge is catching the collar and forcing it up ever so slightly. I bet if you remove it you won’t have that problem anymore like beastSPL.

I suppose one thing to do is to sand the top/bottom edge of the ID so it’s more like a soft and round corner as opposed to a hard edge. Like I said, I’ve been using one of Kasucode’s aluminum ones and it’s actually counter-sunk to avoid binding due to being thicker than the stock washer, it works perfectly in that manner with the Link I have in my stick.

Hopefully somebody can pop off my e-clip tonight at the tournament. I kept getting pinched while trying to take it off. Shit wasn’t wanting to budge.

I didn’t know they did either but its the only thing that makes sense. I’ll try and take pics or a video of the installation in the Qanba. I think you have to force it out, it won’t come out as easy as it did in the OP video.

That’s what she said, LOL. couldn’t resist!

If it’s anything like the TE, you should be able to slide it though the openings of the mounting bracket with the base piece (or stock shaft during first install) out of the assembly. That’s how I’ve been doing it anyway during installs, I just slide it out before putting in the replacement and giving it to the customer as a spare. I’m guessing Qanba’s and any other’s that get the same JLF assembly package from Sanwa have it that way now.

Either way, I’d LOVE to see pictures or a video for install into a Qanba to add to the OP, so if you’re up for it by all means do so when you get a chance to mess with things.

Watch my video on the first post! very simple to do if you have a tiny screwdriver

Yes… and i use pliers to squeeze it back on to save my fingers… but be careful not to bend the shit out of the eclip

Just a quick note to say that my two links turned up in the post this morning. :sunglasses: 7 days to get them to England, not bad at all. Now I just need to find some time to install them.

So the Qanba doesn’t have the additional dust washer (at least I couldn’t find it) but there is this silver ring there. I did take that out but I still have the problem where the link pops right out.

Hmm… that’s perplexing, this happens when not touching the collar at all during play? I may have you send it back to me real quick so I can take a peek at it, maybe an under-performing one wormed into the shipped batch. I kind of figured it would have the secondary dust washer that sits underneath the control panel, guess I was wrong. I’ve never opened one myself, so I don’t know what’s entirely in it/different.

Just out of curiosity, do you play like this at all?

Okay, i’m reading anytime for ordering some  please tell me how to process thank you !

Hit up Jochen, he’s trying to organize a bit of a European drop shipment as I understand it.

Yes, I want to make a bulk buy. If somebody from EU is interested drop me a line.

hi bencao74

i would also be interested in having one of these but i can first pay at the end of the month
if its around that time i would be interested and how much is the cost

When will more be available? I wanna have a ball/bat top switch off option.

Playing like this is going to cause it to disengage isn’t it? =(

Anyone else read that article on the front page about the Razer stick? The little ball/battop holder in the bottom right of the inner compartment looks like it was made to go with the Link

In the meantime, what’s everyone been doing as far as storage solutions go?
