Comet kick is pretty solid against jack. It also makes his DP whiff oddly a lot of the time. Just watch out for megaton punch or normals.

Disaster’s crumple trap:
f.mp>lp>down (trigger dragon stance)> dragon mp/hp (hold forward trigger tiger)>tiger f.PP
Dragon hp looks unsafe as hell, but the fact that it can be stance cancelled changes it’s frame data to be safish on block and you can cancel THAT into tiger f.PP
The tiger f.PP crumples, but more often than not I was getting counterhit trades, which I STILL had time to cr.hp xx comet kick to everything. There’s gaps in there for certain jabs/reversals to get out, but if you switch between razor rush overhead/low/cr.mp pressure, the opponent won’t know when to block.
On top of that during this shuffle:
in Dragon you can f.PP instead of mp/hp
if it hits, it sends them for a soft knockdown, in the corner it sets a juggle
if they block you’re at a RIDICULOUS +7 , letting you go for a cr.hp frametrap that is completely safe
in Tiger stance you can either hit any punch
-and if it hits they go flying fullscreen and you get a safe raw tag for no meter
-if they block the push back is HUGE and resets spacing
or
mk/hk to go low for a knockdown that’s safe (-4) on block.
Mid fight I explained this to my mate playing Jack/Sakura/Geif. I came out on top risking the mixups more than he did trying to get out of them.

Man…Lei is amazing. I saw where the guy said that he hates the Orchid Palm loop…Well I guess you hate me because I found a setup for it with Law. Do the Hp version of Fury Fist rush (Tag Cancel Lei), HP Orchid Palm and loop with the MP Orchid Palm…Booooyaaahhhh. I don’t abuse it because against really good players you wont be able to do it. But I do enjoy doing it online and while I still can. Also found a whole bunch of Law/Lei combos. One of my favorites is LP Fury Fist Rush ( Tag Cancel Lei), Drunken Stance, Tiger Sip x2, Tiger punch, Cr.Hp into HK Reverse Lotus. You can also set up a back turn combo with the LP Fury Fist Rush.
Also found four practical Pandora combo (Yes THE Pandora) set ups. Two for each Character.

i kinda skimmed thou thread didn’t see many post for launcher combo (incoming) i currently use f.mp, lp (dragon) mp, f.2p also testing to see if i can find better.
also with timing for canceling into stances it helped me a lot to think of the direction as another button. similar timing to combing multiple lp hope this helps some people

I bet there are better ones, but for right now I use:
St.MP xx HK comet kick, sweep
Cr.MP, cr.HP xx HK lotus
Lotus ender combo typically does more damage, and sets up for a decent jump in if the opponent techs. Sweep ender does a tiny bit less damage but sets up for drunken stance.
f.MP, LP ~ [DRG] MP xx f.PP looks cool, but it does like 70 damage less than a lotus ending combo and doesn’t give great options.
EDIT: So drunken is absolutely awesome for oki. Tiger sip will make any attack that isn’t low whiff, possibly giving you a free punish. In a lot of cases you usually have time to recover before they can get a long reaching low out. This can be mixed up with b.PP headbutt, which looks EXACTLY like tiger sip. Reeeeeally unsafe, but it catches backdashes and has good armor (I think once airborne he absorbs a hit?) Big crumple for big damage, if you get the timing right then even the quickest attack should get absorbed. Haven’t checked for autocorrect vs rolls yet. Add in that drunk has the fastest overhead and a low (plus you can just jump in,) and you have a scary wake up game in one stance.

I REALLY feel like Lei loses pretty hard to Cody. Your pressure pretty much goes out the window just from cr.lk. Really hope someone tells me I’m wrong and that there’s some glaring flaw and Cody can get blown up.
On a positive note:
Panther is awesome against Hugo! Found it yesterday while playing against a pretty good Hugo. When I had the lead, I just changed to panther and stayed outside Hugo´s cr.mk range. From there, terrorize him with st.hp occasionally and catch every jump with his Lei´s kicks. st.hk for far jumps, st.mk for close ones. Both kicks beat splashes, oftentimes leading to a counter hit that allows for a st.hk juggle or even a part of the panther TC. The only thing Hugo can do against this stance seems to be random Ex lariats and cr.mk if you´re getting a bit to close.
Dragon also works pretty good against Hugo, you can annoy them with st.mp all day on block if you´re close. Sooner or later, they will thrown out a lariat and get punished for it if you´re patient. st.hp also works great as a far anti-air.

Pretty sure I feel sad. It’s OK though. We found a bad match up which means we can work from here with either our tools or our partner’s tools. Maybe throwing out random comet kicks to get over the cr.lk spam? It’s invulnerable to lows for a short amount of time, might need to try that out.

midscreen post launcher stance fun: f+mp>lp>[slight delay]mp [Panther] HK/HP — A bit less damage than the tiger juggle combo, but leaves you next to the opponent in panther with enough time to switch into crane, snake, backturned, drunken or neutral. I love to use this one against Hugo because from my testing he struggles against Lei in Panther with life lead.

Most damaging corner tag juggle after a multihit dp (dunno every move, tested on akuma dp and guy bushin):
multihit dp [TAG] [Backturned] mk [whiff]>hk, mk>hk, hk Reverse Lotus>Follow Up — better meter gain than normal jump hk tag combo, if you hit them really high you can end with cr.hp xx Tornado Kick *3, dealing a bit more damage on max scaling. -
[DRG] hp hits twice if the enemy is in a certain spot in the air. Allows to juggle with [DRG] mp xx Dragons Spite, [Tiger] f+pp, Tornado Kick *2 in the corner. Looks great and deals quite a bit of damage.

[Panther] has nice juggle potential on an anti air counterhit. I was able to do the following combos:
Midscreen> [Panther] mk, mk, hk/hp — Was able to hit that against a splashing Hugo in a real match, not unpractical!
Midscreen> [Panther] mk, mk>mp>lp>mp>mk [Crane] — lp and mk of the chain miss, but it sets up the perfect distance for annoying the opponent with crane
Corner> [Panther] mk, mk, hk, hp — Has to hit them at the peak of their jump, maximum style points!
Corner> [Panther] hk, hk, hp — Screws neutral jumped in the corner for neat ~290 damage and a free stance change afterwards
Corner> [Panther] mk/hp, launch — A meterless switch combo. -
Other stances that allow combos after a CH:
Midscreen> [DRG] lp [Neutral] cr.hp xx Reverse Lotus>Follow Up
Midscreen> [Snake] hk, mk
Corner> [DRG] hp [Tiger] f+pp [Neutral] cr.hp xx Reverse Lotus>Follow Up
I hope this isn´t completely useless. I really like that panther stuff because it´s not as useless as it seems. If you face one of these guys who constantly fish for an air to air counterhit, you can simply swipe them down with [Panther] mk into whatever. You can even do a super (Wallbounce) if youre close.
Edit: Forgot the small extension to the DRG post juggle style combo in the corner: f+mp>lp [DRG] mp xx Dragons Spite [Neutral], Tornado Kick *1 — Pretty useless, but there are times you just need to style on some fools!
Or EX Tornado Kick which is invincible as well.
Honestly I appreciate your work because I needed something for Hugo and I thought Panther was useless. Good stuff man.
<3 to all of this. Earlier I said that I thought his stances would be used almost exclusively up close, but I think I was pretty wrong. He can switch up his options do much from a distance, and I think thats going to be really helpful. I mean he can switch up his footsie tools, AAs, and walk speed on the fly while still having access to a semi-invincible AA and safe projectile-immune approach. I’m having a lot of success with snake HK AA to control space and threaten them with getting in, and I’ve been trying to switch up to dragon or panther to give me new options and mess with their head.
Anyone find a decent use for panther scratch yet?
