Probably not, but you’re still not in a position to pass judgment on the whole product. I started Remember Me and stopped after the first boss, it wasn’t doing anything for me, but like hell I’m going to voice my opinion about the whole experience, I have no idea what it’s like after that, I’d be lying my ass off if I did so.
Hell recently it took me around 20 hours to REALLY get into Dark Souls, I restarted 5 or 6 times, that’s a case where i pressed on despite not having fun and found something i became rather obsessed with because it got really fucking good later into the game. If I had stopped after the first 10 hours and said “Naw whole game is crap” I’d sound like a fucking moron 1. because I wouldn’t honestly know, and 2. because I’d be fucking wrong.
I’m not saying you need to stick with it, if you didn’t like it that’s fine, just stop playing, no one will hold it against you, but you’re really in no position to talk about the over all quality of the title because you haven’t experienced the over all title.
You’re of course welcome to disagree but that’s how i feel about the subject. It’s not concrete, I shit on Bethesda games even tho I’ve never finished one, but they have all managed to lock up my hardware to so fuck em, they are ass. But in general…yea I stick to “That game did nothing for me.” and move on.
Dark Souls is an exception to that rule. Very few games are like that.
I never said the whole game was crap, I said the plot made me cringe and wince like you wouldn’t believe, it was too linear and the sword play was ass.
I had the story spoiled after giving up (even though I guessed it) so I know that.
Everyone agrees the exploration is basically non-existent.
And unless there’s a “make the swordplay good” item I think I can form an opinion after a few hours.
You probably wont. I’m not telling you to finish the game, I’m just saying it’s hard to take someones opinion about the whole product seriously when they didn’t finish it.
If it was boring to you man don’t play it. No reason to force yourself to play something you don’t like.
I was going to make a long ass post defending Skyward Sword, but I’ll just refer you back to my Miyamoto JPEG from a page or two back.
I made myself play DmC past the first two levels to prove that I was right about it being a disgrace to the DMC franchise… Had to turn it off after the Slurm Queen boss because I couldn’t take it.
I’m STILL PISSED OFF ABOUT IT.
Don’t play shit you don’t like… Life is too short to be wasted doing things you hate that aren’t bringing you money or success.
…and I just realized I need to spend less time posting in the Smash thread…
Skyward Sword was so good.
I can see people hating Link being a right hander and the mandatory Motion controls, but aside from that it was a solid game.
BTW every time I was riding the bird I constantly thought about how much the music sounded like it was from Back to the Future. (2:27 in Back to the Future and :17 in Skyward Sword)
As much as I hate to defend Smashbro, because he annoys me, you don’t have to play a game in its entirety to know you’ll hate it.
I didn’t even play Skyward Sword; watching a friend do it told me all I needed to know, that I want nothing to do with that garbage.
Bullshit. That doesn’t stop you from trying controls and seeing the letter A spelled out clearly with bananas in DKC2. I’ve seen people catch shit Arin’s missed while drunk, high, and 95% asleep. Stop defending his terrible-ness.
They went through an entire game of NBA Jam without figuring out how to press the “Turbo” button. There’s literally three buttons to press in that game and he couldn’t figure it out.
