Nintendo must be really desperate to start whoring out Link. Dynasty Warriors has never been my cup of tea, too boring and just plain not fun at all, but that trailer looked kind of fun and it’s interesting to see an official “adult” take on the LoZ universe.

I’m not a huge fan of Dynasty Warriors, but I loved the One Piece Pirate Musou games, so I’ll give Zelda Musou a spin and see what its about.
I’m a big fan of Dynasty Warriors Gundam, or any Musou with a property I care for (i.e., not stylized Chinese historical figures). So gimme some Zelda Musou.

Worst part of Hyrule Warriors is the title is plural, yet they failed to show co-op, so: fail. Also, the color pallete looks like MS Paint default swatches. The game literally looks like the GC tech demo shown between Majora and Windwaker… which is not nearly as flattering without Twilight’s coat of bloom and post-processing over top.
Besides which, do we really need an even easier, more mindless version of Zelda’s combat?

Anyone who criticizes USFIV does so because they like SF and see how Capcom could be doing better. Likewise, I criticize new Nintendo games because I like those series and see how Nintendo could do them better.

When realistic shading is involved, a natural “burlap” green and natural dirty blonde hair works much better than shitty MS Paint green and yellow - this has been well established by now.

This game looks like it could be pretty fun, I’ll probably get it. I especially love how bright and vibrant the colors are!
Who said there was? Given that Dynasty Warriors had multiplayer, and basically the whole point of mindless beatemups is getting play with your friends, showing co-op play would have been the logical and proper way to drive this game home from the get-go. They obviously just dropped a recycled Link model in there, so why not drop a recycled Sheik or some other character? I’d take a village with a sword over nothing.
Now, Nintendo could roll out co-op later, but if they do, this was just a shitty debut trailer - Super Mario 3D World’s debut trailer didn’t consist of Mario wandering around alone. Moreover, we know Nintendo’s penchant for resisting industry expectations for no particular reason.
Right, except the colors look like ass compared to Windwaker and Skyward Sword (which ACTUALLY are vibrant).
