I wanna try it. Being able to just go in as Zelda characters is appealing to me. This and the new Smash Bros. should cover that… I have to get a Wii U at some point though 
You know…if they really wanted too they could try to push this game into the canon timeline. Wait now…hear me out. IIRC within the timeline there were a few areas where massive wars took place within Hyrule. They’ve mentioned it before on the mural intro of Wind Waker and also in the intro of OoT. This game could maybe take place during one of those wars perhaps? They could have its half serious side to the game and then have it’s full blown fan fiction fest storyline sort of like what they used to do in the Dynasty Warriors Games.

Probably would get toned down and catered towards the casual audience like DmC but hell I’d take it.
I mean shit, Link pulls shit out of his magic pocket/thin air and he’s somewhat of a weapon master where he carries a shit load variety of weapons, he’d fit just fine with DMC combat mechanics.
Add a bit of over the top platforming, classic zelda puzzles, parries, shadow of colossus mixed with bayonetta giant as fuck bosses that you can scale; bam you got a awesome Zelda action game.
Never really been a fan of the whole Dynasty Warrior style games due to lack of innovation per iteration and general gameplay issues, but if this game turns out to be solid enough and lets me Warlock punch the shit out of armies of dudes with Ganondorf then I’m down.
Also playable Groose, because the Groose must be made loose.
