I hadn’t been on the club nintendo site in awhlie so I went and see that they’re offering 15% off for tickets to the Zelda concert. Also looks like they’re offering points for games that aren’t made by nintendo now which is cool.
^^I want to go to that concert so bad, but 80 dollars a ticket + school I just can’t go

AT. LONG. LAST.
I finally have SS and plan to dive into this sumbitch this weekend. I can’t tell you how hard it was to stay away from all the spoilers and reviews (including this thread). All I know is what was shown in the first couple of trailers, that there is some sort of glitch which Nintendo had to patch, and that some critics rated the game “good” not great (really interested in finding out why). I don’t have super high expectations, but I expect the game to have some new material added to the predictable Zelda format. That’s what I am really looking forward to playing.

FINALLY…THE ROCK HAS PICKED UP SKYWARD SWORD. insert rants about octorock roody poos, skultulla’s having the smackdown laid down upon, and turning the master sword to the side and shining it up real nice

Miyamoto is still talking about wanting to do something with ALttP
now he’s kind of unsure of whether he wants to do a complete remake or do something in the same vein as.

the problem is the game is way too beautiful with all it’s sound effects, music and feel that if he doesn’t pay complete homage to it artistically then I will be thoroughly disappointed.

I find it funny him mentioning his approach to a new ALttP because it’s exactly what I had in mind years ago. I just hope they work hard on that focus to make the spirit of what the game is in a new perspective

Just saw this. It’s a glitch that allows you to skip from the first dungeon to Ganon’s Castle in OOT. Beat the game in less than 30 minutes. pretty crazy

I’m only 8 hours into TP and don’t plan on getting back to it any time soon so it’ll be awhile before I get SS. Just curious is it better than TP? So far TP is good I guess but it’s definitely not up to Zelda standards, I really don’t like the wolf sections but Midna is awesome.
PLaying OOT 3DS…man it’s just as good as I remember it to be, soo ahead of it’s time.
SS blows TP out of the water. Best of the 3D zeldas imo. OOT is good, but over rated as fuck.
TP was more enjoyable to me than SS. But SS has a better story and dialogue, and is a better made game. Chances are, if you don’t like TP after 8 hours in, you probably won’t change your mind. I would play SS.
Neither game can compare to Mass Effect and Super Turbo though.
What confuses me though is when people like OOT, but disilke TP. TP is the successor to OOT and does just about everything OOT does except better…it’s just OOT did it first when it was revolutionary.
I’d much rather play SS or TP again than OOT.

the difference between Oot and TP design wise is the same as GTAIV and Saints Row
