Hyrule Historia confirms the Hero’s Shade in Twilight Princess is the ghost of The Hero of Time.

finally got around to buying Skyward Sword. Thought it was pretty awesome, don’t like the bird traveling and felt it was underdeveloped. great game overall though. Demise AKA Akuma is awesome

Oni

Demise definitely has that face going on with him. That was one of the first things that popped in my head when his true form was revealed. If he’d have SGS’d Link at some point in the fight I wouldn’t have been surprised.

And I’m still waiting on that Hyrule Historia book NOA…I’m gonna need ya’ll to stop dragging your feet.

Yeah… don’t hold your breath on that.

I wanna believe dammit!

More dates got put up for the Legend of Zelda concerts

I see that one of those dates they’ll be stopping in VA. Yeeeeeessss…~Megatron

I hooked up the Wii and dig into Skyward Sword over the weekend.

Spoiler

I got past the temple the water dragon sends you to by the end of the weekend. Digging the fucking shit out of this. It’s very good. it has flaws, but the pros outweigh them SO MUCH. I haven’t smiled at a game in genuine enjoyment like this in a long time.

I’ll have more detailed impressions when i get deeper into the game. I remember you asked me to telly ou what I thought Sonichuman, I haven’t forgotten. Just took me a while (and FFXIII) to build up the motivation to find all the Wii shit and hook it up.

Has anyone else here played The Legend of Zelda: Parallel Worlds?

No…but it looks interesting

what is this? can it be played on the snes emulator?

From Zeldapedia:

Yes.

As fun as that would be its soooo not worth 80+ bucks.

Have you been?

Nope. I just don’t think any concert is worth going to for that kinda money.

Skyward Sword

[details=Spoiler]So I finished this last night and frankly it’s the best Zelda experiences I’ve had in I don’t know how long, hell it’s one of the best game experiences I’ve had in a long time.

The story is just wonderful. I loved every second of it. I adored Zelda and Links interactions. When he finally meets back up with her and she’s filling him on who she really is was such a touching scene. When she starts apologizing for using Link, something that she really had no part in but still felt guilty for brought a tear to my eye. So many scenes in this game where so damn good. I just loved the story and all the cool stuff it explained no matter how big or small. Also I thought I was gonna hate Ghirahim from the trailers but I ended up really liking the guy. He was cool and brutal and his boss fights where sick as hell.

Also the graphical art style is great, fuck a realistic Zelda, this shit’s way better looking. Was like playing ALttP in 3D.

Gameplay was phenomenal. Some people complained about the motion controls but they rarely tripped me up and usually because I was panicking and trying to use the wii-Mote too fast. Like if I had my sword held to the left and a Bokoblin was blocking to the left if I tried to move my sword to the right too fast Link would swing. I identified this quickly and just slowed down my transitions in order to not a get swing. I can get a jab 100% of the time. I never not get a job when I ask for one while sometimes I’ll get a swing when I didn’t mean to. I’d say the controls did what i wanted 98% of the time or something. Very rarely did they trip me up.
I love the much much higher emphasis on combat in this game. Making the overworld into open dungeons is the shit, do this from now on Nintendo. I love that the combat is strategic and requires me to pay attention and focus on what I’m doing instead of just auto-piloting my way through combat like I did in TP. This game has some of the best boss fights the series has ever had. Items are fucking useful in this game! No getting an item in a dungeon, abusing the shit out of that item and then retiring it for the rest of your adventure. I was using stuff i got at the beginning of the game, at the very end of the game, and not just in the final exam dungeon either. I think the travelers pouch idea is wonderful, keep it Nintendo. Having to plan out what you wanna take with you is great. Same with the upgrading system. Loot is wonderful, equipment improvement is wonderful, potion upgrading is wonderful. I even love how not all loot is an enemy drop. Catching birds, bugs, bashing down bees nests for loot, it’s all stuff to do that’s different from the core game but still fun and entertaining. Fuck the Moonlight Merchant i’d rather go out and collect this shit on my own. Way more fun that way. Man there’s just so much to talk with the gameplay in this game. If you have any questions about other stuff ask away because I can’t remember it all and could probably go on for days about the shit I love with the gameplay.

Also Harp was stupid easy. Dunno how you guys had trouble with it.

I will say some of the padding is a bit annoying like the tadpoles note hunt but even that only took me like half an hour maybe 45 minutes so its such a minor blemish and swimming in this game is actually easy instead of a chore so it wasn’t that big a deal.

Also Music is dope. Must buy OST.

Dopest Impa ever [/details]

does the golden skutula glitch still work in the 3ds version?

I know this is gonna be a weird question, but im 30 points away from getting the zelda posters on the nintendo store.

anyone have 30 points I can just have?

if you guys open up your SS cases there is a sheet for club nintendo worth 50 points. Id appreciate it ALOT. I forgot to take mine out when I sold my games for sfxt =’(

hmmm…I think I have one from Rhythm heaven…gimme a sec and I’ll PM it to ya.

Apparently it does not.

Nintendo Discusses Story and Complexity in Zelda

Aonuma isn’t opposed to putting more complexity in future games as long as it doesn’t get in the way of the core fun.

Did anyone else who has a 3DS get a swap note from Aonuma? I’m assuming I got one because I played OoT 3D.

I got the note too. I’m not sure if you have to meet any criteria to get it.

All I want from future Zelda games is for them to be more open-ended, like how it was in the original Zelda, while keeping the overworld design from SS. It doesn’t have to turn into Skyrim or anything like that.
