The Legend of Zelda thread - Ganon's bodyshop will be open for business on Nov. 20th

A few gs got extra shipmenta of their 30th ann loz amiibo in so id imagine some other retailers got some in as well.

Best Buy and GameStops have been getting restocks of the BotW amiibos along with their respective store exclusive (Majora’s Mask and twilight princess respectively)

That was about a week ago though and most stores are sold out now.

The 30th anniversary ones (Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker 2-Pack, 8-bit link) are out of print though. I doubt reprints will happen.

I beat all four Divine Beasts and got the Master Sword. Am I almost done with the game already? I feel like there are a lot more places I haven’t even been to yet, and I’ve only completed about 50 or so shrines. And I have less than 40 of those Korok turds. What should I be focusing on now before I fight Ganon?

theres really no way to say how much you’ve completed. You can beat the game at any time. If your goal is to do the beasts and defeat ganon (most people do this) then you’re certainly in a good position to do so.

The real charm of the game is just wandering around/exploring. there’s really nothing you need to do that you can’t do after beating the game. Maybe get all the memories?

I’m going to try to get all the shrines before I go to Hyrule Castle. There aren’t any shrines in the castle are there?

there are some right near it.
edit: there is one in the castle. i forgot about it

Cool, thanks for the replies. I grabbed the BotW Archer one the other day at a BB the other day while killing some time to get a jump on presents. Thought I’d look into the others. Smash (adult) Link and the Wolf + Midna TP ones are the ones I’ll be looking at.

Smash Link is next to impossible to find in the Wild now. He use to be common (just like the rest of the Zelda amiibos) until Nintendo revealed what they did in BotW. It goes for as low as $25 to as high as $55 in the secondary market.

Wolf Link might be easier. GameStop has been getting consistent restocks of it

Started playing this recently. This is the best stealth game I’ve played in years.
…What do you mean this isn’t a stealth game?

Real talk though jumped in as blind as I could and the game has been great so far. Can’t help but feel I’m kind of breaking the game with stealth, the cooking system, and certain items. I’m beating enemies and shrines, collecting weaponry/gear that seem to be meant for late game despite not even having done any of the divine beast stuff yet. For example I beat a shrine called “A Major Test of Strength” with a four heart link against an enemy with insta kill attacks.

3 Heart Run complete!

…for normal mode. Need to do it for Master Mode now…

3 Divine Beasts down, got the Master Sword after the second one. Going after the last beast which is the Gerudo one.

After two hilariously botched attempts at tryIng to kill a Blue Lynel with melee (this was a bad idea as that thing’s melee has an absolutely fucked hitbox and does full retard damage). I realized I could abuse Revali’s Gale to go into the sky so I could do slow-mo headshots with a multi-hitting bow, absolutely wrecked most of it’s life bar with that alone.
About 3 minutes after killing it I inadvertently awaken a Frost Talus and killed that too. This game loves/hates me.

I feel confident against most enemies in the game except the Guardian walkers, I have beaten a couple of them but I still have no idea really how I’m supposed to fight them.

Guardian Walkers from a distance? Parry that laser. Guardian Walkers up close? Parry the laser or take out the legs. If you need time to do damage you can stun with arrow in the eye. At any range? You can always hit them with an ancient arrow in the eye for the instant kill if you don’t feel like dealing with their shit at the moment.

Dear Goddess what have I done

…well then again, he doesn’t seem too bothered.

Accidentally beat the game today, was dicking around in Hyrule Castle destroying guardians/monsters and looking for loot, inadvertently ended up in Ganon’s room since I wasn’t paying attention to the map.

On the plus side, once you take him out:

[details=Spoiler]You get plopped right outside the room where you fight him and can resume your looting from where you left off. You also get a nice little star next to your save file and silver variants of monsters (Lynels included) start popping up…and I believe chests start dropping weapons with much better bonuses, Durability+ being a common one.

…though sadly, the silver enemies aren’t really any different from the standard variety, they just have more HP and carry the best weapons. Stealth is still just as effective, which seems to be your preferred tactic. :)[/details]

I almost did this a couple weeks ago looking for the last memory. I wasn’t finding not at the time so I decided to explore the castle. Luckily the music kicked in but I was tempted to do it. Almost fucked up and landed in it a couple times after that.

Going to finish all the shrines before I fight Gannon. I only need the climbers bandana and to get it at two stars, then I’ll be done with my first play through.

Have the climber’s top, don’t have the top or bandana though. If you complete the Tarrey town side-quest you get access to a guy who will sell equipment parts for sets you haven’t completed, they’re expensive as fuck though.
Also holy shit the Tarrey town side-quest is so god damn useful. Even though it’s fundamentally a super stretched out series of fetch quests it’s my favourite side-quest in the game due to the sense of progression it shows and how beneficial it is.

Mainly been rocking the Ancient Gear, (Helmet and Body leveled up to 4, pants almost up to 4) and the Shiekah Stealth gear (the one you but at Kakariko)… Still need to finish the memories sub-quest.

Tarrey Town side quest is cool. I’d definitely put one person in town if I could that didn’t have son in the name just to make those guys get triggered.

Zelda got updated

Apparently theres going to be some news channel feed interaction. If you launch the game through certain articles you can get in game items. Intriguing…

Yeah I almost said Fuck It and bought the rest of the outfit, but once I found the pants from a Shrine Quest, I’d figure I’d just find the top instead of dropping the dough.

I forget how I found the top.
