Clothes and general questions

Spoiler

I have just now completed Zora outfit finally but I have a question on finding the rubber tights, climbing headband and pants. Not trying to drop the dough on so any hints would be nice. I did get the skeleton outfit which is awesome. Never thought about Link dressed up as La Parka, but I’m not surprised it worked, haha!

Also…gear cores? I need one more for Ancient head piece I’m not sure where to find them. I’ve found them from beating Guardians and Lynels but not consistently so I’m asking here.

You mean Ancient Cores, right?

Cores are hard. You basically just have to kill Guardians and pray they drop. I don’t think they can drop from the ones mounded into the ground, but they do seem to drop more likely from the Guardian Boss Shrines. Specifically the “Major Test of Strength” ones. Forgotten Temple spawns an assload of Guardians, if you wanna hit that place up every Blood Moon.

Welcome to the Ancient Core farming phase. Have a seat.

Speaking of Guardians, how do you guys go about killing them? I’ve got one Lynel under my belt so far, so I know I can kill them. But I haven’t really messed with the Guardians much since I first saw them. And then there’s the flying Guardians with spotlights…

I recently tried to get the perfect parry trick down with a Guardian, but couldn’t seem to get the timing. Any tips?

When their marker disappears and then the flash, is when you parry. The timing depends on your distance from one. Generally the walker types are at a distance to where light flash = button press, if not soon after. Hitting them in the eye with an arrow can stun them for a short while. Flying guardians = A LOT OF TIME. Have plenty of bomb arrows. You can parry their lasers back but these thing are built stronger than the walking ones. The first couple of shots, in my experience, the flying Guarian lowered itself after the first one or two parries so it missed. You can also hit their propellers.

Walking types you can chop of their legs to knock them off-balance BUT sometimes their own lasers knock them off-balance so you’ll miss when you parry the laser back because of it.

I didn’t think about Forgotten Temple. I was doing the Northeast Labryinth but those were dead ones with one or two that can still move. It’s a good spot for farming parts, just not cores. I was hoping it was a little more structured, but I guess not. I have some Major Strenth tests I still need to do so I think I’ll do those since I have the Master Sword and some Lynel weapons now.

What femto said. Id suggest learning how to parry that laser when the opportunity presents itself so you will have an easier time later.

i usually do the parry when i see the flash. like once you see the laser or whatever starting to come out there’s like a brief moment where you can press it and get it right. its fairly telegraphed

Word. I think I’ll save right before a Guardian encounter and practice the timing.

Once youve successfully done it a couple of times you really get a feel for the timing…you are gonna lose sheilds or get blown up a lot but its worth it and so satisfying.

distance matters so keep that in mind. usually they will walk up to you and stop. that distance is usually easy to work with.

from far away you can wait until you see the laser start to travel

I always cheese Guardians with the Master Sword or Royal weaponry. Just sneak up, slice off all their legs, and boom. Free headshots to victory.

Don’t forget Stasis+ can buy some extra time to line up an eye shot or get out of dodge.

Electrical weapons can also stun Guardians for a bit.

Got the main one I wanted…

Onwards!

Finally trying to finish up the shrines (fuck those 900 korok seeds). Any hint on the Keo Ruug shrine? Can’t figure that one out and I don’t want to look online since I bet it will spoil the whole puzzle.

like anyone remembers what the name is. you’ll need to describe it

Look at the number of torches at each position along the wall and think about what that represents.

It’s the one with the hint about the constellations where you need to put the glowing orbs into different spots.

Each of the four rows of holes has a small constellation in front of it.
look in front of you at the large mural behind the locked gate when you enter the shrine and “connect the dots”, as it were.

Stay bodied :coffee:

Any possibility of LoZ amiibo making a comeback? I’m trying to get cool guy points to outdo parents and other relatives for a couple birthdays coming up.

Is 30th anniversary done?
