The Legend of Zelda thread - Ganon's bodyshop will be open for business on Nov. 20th

Speedrun times are getting predictably insane. World record for any percent just got down to 45 minutes 32 seconds and that number is just going to keep dropping over time. All dungeons was at 2 hours 37 minutes 40 seconds last I checked.
Edit: literally an hour after I posted this the World Record for all dungeons got beaten, now it’s 2:32:38.

Oh just wait until people start mastering the shield bomb trick… Shits gonna look insane a few months from now.

Has a video been posted on cooking yet?

Wait, there are people who hated Eventide?? That’s one of the best sidequests in the game.

A small hint related to every fairy location is that the fungi-esque parts of the fountains glow at night, making them easy to spot from high places.

I guess Po really does hate everything

EDIT: …Sokka?

Watched a few speedruns and a lot of them are using this in their runs.

Forbidden Temple is a death trap…don’t stop moving.

Literally just glide like crazy through there. Lol

Note to self, always carry at least one wooden shield. Was in the middle of a fight with a White-maned Lynel and a thunderstorm started, and I only had metallic shields so I couldn’t constantly keep up a defense against him lest I get zapped.

And for some reason lightning doesn’t target Lynels despite them having all metal weapons

EDIT: The Lord of the Mountain is summoning me…

So when was the last time a Lionel has been in a Zelda game anyway? Last time I remember was A Link to the Past. I can’t imagine that’s really correct tho is it?

Spirit Tracks. =)

Heh I guess I spelled it wrong. You know what I meant tho. A Lynel lol.

Edit: Quick bit of research says they are also in the Oracle games, and where in A Link Between Worlds.

Haha, Rito village has a soft remix of Dragon Roost Island. That’s pretty cool. =)

Took first step in there and was like ‘really?’

Lynels resist all elements, that’s probably why the lightning didn’t hurt them. One more reason why they’re tough.

When I’m faced with lightning, I just put on the Thunder Helm now.

It’s less about the lightning not hurting them; that I would’ve expected. It’s more that they wield all metal weapons yet lightning never strikes at them :arazz:

…would’ve made the fight even more interesting now that I think about it, having lightning that can strike them (and thus everything around it at that moment) and essentially add another element to the battle even if it doesn’t hurt them.

I haven’t found the Thunder Helm yet.

So I’m going towards one of the towers to fill in another portion of the map when I come across a forest in trying to wait out the rain. I hear some music I’ve never heard before, the forest is all misty and animals are running about. I finally found the area I’d been meaning to find for days now! Even better, I found it before unlocking the location on the map! Placing is freaking beautiful! Oh and I found Hetsu as well. Finally made use of the 64 Korok seeds I collected.

They were in the Oracle games, but I do believe that they have never been rendered in 3d until now.
