To be honest I am pretty surprised by how much I actually DO like this game. The past 7-8 years I’ve pretty much played fighting games only, and against other people not single player. I also played racing games and a single player game here and there, but primarily just fighters.
Since SF5 online is complete and utter shit I’ve decided to stop playing it and play some single player games again. I started Uncharted 4 a few weeks ago then the Switch came out. I’m not into RPG’s at ALL, I hated Twilight Princess and quit after about 8 hours because it was boring as shit, and never even touched Skyward Sword.
But there is something about Breath of the Wild that I like and that makes it hard for me to put down. Even just exploring in this game is fun to me. And when I’m playing it, I will think I’ve played for like 30 minutes but I look at the clock and it’s been 2 hours. I don’t know what it is but there is something about this game. Maybe it’s just playing on my Ocarina of Time nostalgia or something, but I have probably over 30 hours in this game which is a shitload for me in a single player game, and I’m not done yet. Hell I haven’t even unlocked the whole map yet. I’m at a point I think I can face the final boss however I don’t want to yet because I know if I do I won’t come back to the game to explore and do the side quests so I’m holding off.
At a shrine in the forest and it actually has me stumped at the moment. First shrine in this game so far that didn’t take me 5 minutes or less to figure out what to do and finish it up. I’m not sure what to do with the constellations yet and still trying to find out what the game is asking of me.
Edit: I know I’m gonna feel dumb as hell when I figure it out.
Jesus christ. I just want to dye my clothes black. I just need one more piece of flint. I shit you not, I’ve searched everywhere between Kakariko Village and the bridge where you meet the Zora Prince. I’ve cracked open every rock near Dueling Peaks, and I’ve searched the entire surrounding area of Hateno Village.
Stone Talus are always good for dropping stuff. I end up encountering these guys whenever I’m never seeking them out. I just pass some rocks and all of a sudden, I got a mini boss fight on my hands.
Its interesting watching people play through this game in the beginning. I’ve seen people get the Warm Doublet. I didn’t know that was a thing when I was on the Great Platue so I went to that shrine in the cold with only a little bit of food, a few fire arrows and some bundles of wood to keep warm. I set up fires, got warm then made some sprints until I got to my destination. At this point, I hadn’t even started cooking yet and had no idea you could make anti-cold food.
As soon as you whistle you stop sprinting and resume a normal jogging pace. It’s the same as letting go of the sprint button and letting your stamina refill.
Can’t even avoid being stupid in this thread, can you?
And I just tested it myself, the jogging pace while whistling isn’t any different than just…jogging. Regardless of if you do it while sprinting or not. When you whistle while sprinting you slow down to a normal jogging pace.
You gonna trust a dumbass lets player or the guy who’s obsessed with game mechanics?
