The Legend of Zelda thread - Ganon's bodyshop will be open for business on Nov. 20th

…holy hell this combat trial (Muwo Jeem). Nearly OHKO-ing me with every strike and doesn’t open up easily unless you parry it. I haven’t wandered too far overall so my gear isn’t the best; ended up taking me almost 5 minutes to take it down. Got it first try though at least.

…and the trial says that was only a modest test of strength? Makes me wonder what the next level is gonna be

It gave me a battle axe with 45 power though so I’d say it was worth it.

So is breath of wild worth 400 bones? Or better to wait to see what other gontent nintendo brings?

So how many of those lost memories have you guys found so far?

I’m up to 3 as of now. Figured I’d run across a bunch of shrines while I searched for 'em, so I thought it couldn’t hurt to try and find all the memories before heading to the next main dungeon.

There’s someone in the game who can give you tips on where the memory locations are. You first see him in kakariko.

So I think I found my first dungeon.

Spoiler

It’s that giant walker in Gerudo Desert, by the oasis. Haven’t attempted it yet, as I ended up showing off the Switch to my nephew and started playing Snipperclips.

Strongest weapon I’ve found so far was around 50 on attack. But unfortunately a lightning storm forced me to give it up. Sudden lightning storms are fucking tough in this game if you don’t have any shelter you can take and you have a ton of metal shit on you. You have to make a choice…give up your shit to stay where you are and explore or teleport out and keep your stuff and just back track.

There’s a mission that a Rito sent me on that involved finding an area that was at the opening of a dragon. Figured that part out but then I had to find a Farosh’s scale. I thought it would be at the area that had Farosh in it but that wasn’t the case.
Don’t read if you don’t want any hints for when you come across this, I’m not going to tell what happens in the area.

Spoiler

If you need a Farosh’s Scale…try hanging out around Riola Spring

Spoiler

found ganon’s horse. It’s like twice as big as the other horses and has his color styls. Link’s legs barely fit around him. He’s so cool

Spoiler

So basically it’s like Raoh’s horse from Fist of the North Star.

Speedruns of this game are going to be wild, even by Zelda standards (which is saying something). People already managing to post crazy fast times (some using amiibos to assist, some standard).

God damn man…I’m gonna need this dragon to chill the fuck out. I’M TRYING TO CLIMB HERE.

Yes

Hadn’t seen a Yiga Clan member in a minute…No sooner had I said something SMH.

Spoiler

THESE GUYS CAN POSE AS SALESPEOPLE.

Speaking of the Yiga Clan…

[details=Spoiler]Wait until you see the high ranking guys doing elemental jutsu and dropping the Windcleaver katana.

Also, there are some bad ass elemental swords to be had… and next time you see a Guardian, try using Stasis on it…[/details]

Finding 'em has been easy, it’s just a case of getting there. The photos make it super easy to locate them as long as you recognize at least one of the landmarks.

Yep. I was gonna say something earlier about that but forgot to.

Spoiler

Never trust someone who’s trying to sell you bananas.

I agree. But in case you don’t recognize the landmarks there’s a guy you can show the pictures to and he will flat out tell you the area they’re in. That’s how I’ve found most of them.

I haven’t even gone to Kakariko village yet. Spending way too much time exploring.

You do realize all you have to do is un-equip the stuff right? You don’t actually have to drop it. And the Guardian stuff doesn’t count as metal so if you’ve got any of that just switch it out.

I haven’t even cleared the first four trials yet. :frowning:

How the hell do you get through the snowy area to the other two trials?

Need any help, or are you just sad that you haven’t put as much time into the game?

That was not the case for me. I unequipped my stuff and the storm was still attracted to me. I almost go struck the first time just trying to unequip everything and it was still telling it was about to hit me. Ill try again but I think if you have a ton of metal stuff on you its still attracted to you anyway.

Both!
