OK… Another problom. When I hit him with the second set of lks,it dosent combo up… There for he blocks and I look like an ASS… Any sudgestions??
Remember to hold DOWN when you low kick…that’s why your not hitting him with the second pair of lk’s…don’t stress to much…
I hold down… I get the down version of the lk out. Either I miss or get him and it dosent combo up. Anything else??
i’m not sure what you’re talking about. are you talking about the lk mk after the airdash? if you can’t combo the lk after the airdash, then simple you’re not fast enough and you need to practice more. remember some people find it helps to pause slightly before the airdash lk. like lk mk, pause, ad lk, pause, mk.
if you’re talking about the rising lk mk after 1 rep of rom, then you probably need to put a pause in between the descending lk and mk.
the concept behind the rom is simple, you just need to practice a lot. you’re probably not screwing up because your execution is godly just that you’re pressing some wrong buttons, it’s probably just that you need to get faster. and don’t be like some freak a while back who was all like “I CAN DO ROM PERFECTLY BUT THE COMBO METER DOESN’T RISE WHYYYYYY???!!!??” well simple you can’t do rom at all then.

as i said, which part are you talking about? if you’re talking about the descending lk mk, then the pause is as long as you can have it and still combo the mk obviously.
if you’re talking about the pause before the airdash, you just have to pause such that magnus is about halfway above your opponent. this is to prevent going under your opponent after you airdash. it’s more obvious on lighter opponents since they fall slower. on the big 3 you don’t really need to pause at all.

i can do the rom inf. perfectly now but i practiced hard for it… when you sj.lk,lk, make magz float for a little while. when his waist is at level w/ the opponents head,dash down immediately w/ lk.lk. just make sure you do the d.lk version so your opponent wouldn’t go higher. and pause after the first lk… practice makes perfect…

Time for me to post my rookie problems. First get it out the way.
I’m using a D-pad. I will not be using a stick for a while and can careless about sticks. I’d prefer to not get into a discussion on my prefernce…
So I’ve been trying to pull off the infinite for a few days…today was my longest serious session. However I kept running into problems, and solving one problem created others, so let me start from teh begining.
Height. Dash in and launch, connect roundhouse. Before I was hittin them too quickly, so upon sj back up there was no real way of continuing on a consistent basis, so while asking someone for help - he advised me to hit them in the middle of their body mass with the roundhouse. That made since and the body seemed to be at just the right height, then…
I couldn’t super jump back up. before I was super jumping with no problems at all, but now when I try to sj, I ALWAYS do a normal jump, or if I do do a sj, it comes out so slow that I can never technically “combo” my opponent. I haven’t even gotten to the roll part yet. Any recommendations or suggestions on either what the problem is or how to solve that problem?
Finally, since I am using the controller - I was curious on any advice on rolling the air dash into the lk? Even though my height was wrong or ‘just not right’ - I still was able to try that part of the infinite - and I would end up dashing under them and crossing them up still nice but not the infinite, so I know I’m not doing it quick enough. I heard that someone was doing it on a controller with no problem - so I was curious if anyone knew their method…Thanx ahead of time…

well i used to use a controller for mag when i had my dc…i couldve performed the rom with ease…i used the “slide” method…read up on how to do it…its same way,juss apply that to the DC buttons…do two lks, then place your index and middle finger on X and Y, slide your fingers down allowing the dash, but slide your index down further so u hit A on the way down…allowing the ad df lk part, then just do another lk and u completed one rep.
About the sj part…a way to fix this is try getting your fingers faster, u can also try spacing out the lk’s when to do the setup…so with the two lk’s coming down…do them a bit apart so as soon as the 2nd lk hits you’re about to land…this way to get more hitstun on the character allowing you a bit more time to sj and continue the combo…tell me if it works…and what other problem(s) u encounter

Anyone have a video of JUST the infintie - with no fancy setup or anything? I went at it for another 30 minutes without so much as one go thru. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong…its just coming out all wrong…

Theres no reason to apologized - you’ve tried to help me - I just need a visual of just the infinite so I have a better clue waht to do - everytime I find it - it has all this other stuff in it making it impossible to see “just the infinite” or how to start it. Because I’m screwing up somewhere or all over the place and I can’t pick it out. I dunno if it is execution seems to me like canceling the dash is just a tiny bit faster than the sentinel “sj lk lk ad df lk lk land repeat” infinite, I dunno if its timing, height, location, starting it - I just feel lost.

I can do it now, Only on the PS2 pad with help of the L1 one button bein’ my 2 punches, the timin’ was my main concern now I just need to know how to perform it on the arcade stick…:bluu: But Im gettin’ there…
