Lol no. As much fun as I had piloting Raziel, that series needed an editor and a half.
Games like TLOU and RDR skirt the issue by having a movie take turns with a video game.
A base problem is stories are about will he won’t he, while games are about can he can’t he.
I just saw a streamer (Fextralife) say “that better not be the ending” at the last moments of the game, bang the table a few times when it was, and quit to the main menu before “Directed by Neil Druckmann” even popped up. Much as I hate to admit it (I wanted the game’s story to prove all the haters wrong), all this salt I’m seeing around is a joy to watch.

People are taking that scene and MSpainting over it with random characters (as 4chan does with a lot of things). It’s stupid and nonsensical and unfunny for the most part, but not gonna lie I laughed at a few. From the Tekken general:

After watching more of the game, it’s sealing that it’s a waste to me. There was no reason for this sequel to be made. It does nothing to enhance the first, I feel.
Also, the story is just BAD. I get what they were going for, but they could not have done it worse. They introduce a protagonist as unlikable, having her kill off the most beloved protag from the first game with almost no build up or “earning” of that. THEN they make you play as her to make you see things from her side. Doing this deep dive into her life right after THAT is not good. The decisions both Abby and Ellie make are stupid. Abby doesn’t kill Ellie after Ellie’s killed all her friends, and Ellie doesn’t kill Abby when she has a chance (and has thrown away her home life to do so). It’s just… dumb.
The graphics are beautiful and the voice acting is on point. But it burns my heart to see the herculean efforts in developing this project go went toward a garbage core.

He lost his dad last year. I understand that pain. I saw the full reaction. Dude just turned the game of right after Joel is killed. He gets mad, I don’t understand Korean, so I don’t know what he said. He calms down and then he cuts both discs in half. After that dude starts playing Mario Kart. Crazy he seems to want to have fun when plays games.

Actually I like these sets of memes, they blow up the bullshit narrative of people hating the game because it stars women or because they are homophobic.
