Anyone have any strats for Shingo and andy?
If these glitches have been known for so long, what’s the deal with leaving them in the game? I don’t care how hard they are to do, that’s irrelevant… Game breaking or not why on earth would they leave glitches in? Especially recovery canceling glitches?
Why would they take out stuff that doesn’t harm the game?
that takuma bug just looks weird to me! she just sits there frozen:looney:
With Andy you just do stuff like you would in 98. If you get a command throw, do df+a, then super jump c or just do dropkick dm(qcb hcf k) after the command throw. Work the air special mixups, and work in empty jump command throw. The C Hishoken can be used for chip in the corner, but watch out if they have a stock and roll because the WILL roll out and punish you. A Hishoken is good also if you space it correctly.
He also has some useful Q. Max and pretty simplish combos.
cr. b, cr. a, df+a xx qcb a or db, f c xx qcf c is a decent and confirmable b&b for a low as well as safe on block(I think).
In the corner with Q. Max you can put the hurting on. Corner only.
j. d, close st. c, fwd+b xx qcf k xx p follow up(Q. Max this), dp a.
j. d, close st. c, fwd+b(Q. Max this), close st. c xx qcfx2 p or hcf p, follow up.
Some bugs are tough to smash. Toss in some classic SNK laziness and bring to a low boil…

Zero recovery on a move that should have recovery could potentially be harmful. I dunno.
optimal andy corner combos look like this right now:
roll/extra/stock
crouch C, f+B, air qcf+K P, ABC, df+A (1 hit), rollcancel df+A (1 hit), qcb hcf+K
roll/extra/stock/flashing life
crouch C, f+B, air qcf+K P, ABC, [df+A (1 hit), rollcancel] x 3, df+A (1 hit), qcb hcf+K
It’s a one-time deal. I’d say it’s about as effective as a toned down Roman Cancel.
mechanica that bug is in every game after 97 and before 2k3 and it has never proven to be overpowered.
any help with chizuru? (seems nobody cares about her…) q.max combos?
Well, if you’ve played her in the regular 98, then you’re not too far off. Cr. C and j. c is still good. Ritz upper is still annoying, and she still has all the combos from regular 98.
The a reflector is pretty good in this game though. Clones stay on the screen shorter, but they are still useable. Midscreen you still need to combo into clones cause it is very good as a punish combo. Seal dm still punishes mad shit(I call it ziplock dm). Speaking of combos, here are some.
b&b:
cr. b, cr. a xx dp a/ziplock dat hoe(qcb hcb a dm)
close st. c/cr. c, fwd+a xx hcb a, qcb a/a ziplock(corner only, mid screen omit the hcb a and just do a ziplock after the fwd+a)
close st. d, fwd+a xx clones, hh c, close st. d, hh c, close st. d
Q. Max
cr. b, cr. a xx qcfx2 a+b+c, hh c, close st. d, hh c, close st. d
j. c, close st. c(Q. Max this), cr. c, fwd+a xx ZIPLOCK DAT HOE(a or ac version)
Hope that helps.
For Andy I really just cheese the Sh*t out of everything with his qcb+C move, throw in a little hcf+b move to control distance, a little jump in here and there (but not to attempt a combo), some confusion tcatics with aerial qcf + b or D mixups, far standing C pokes and runaway like hell.
Actually I think Rugal has Mad Probblemz against EX geese even moreson than a Rugal vs Krauser matchup.
Kaiser Wave against Both Geese is effectively suicide since a smart Geese will always Roll forward and ut even gets worse for Rugal on full screen since it gives Geese more time to coordinate.
Both Geese’s Fwd+B straight Kick stuffs all of Rugals pokes, Rugal is basically one character Geese can Double Shippuken to Death. so a child can really abuse this and the only thing Rugal can do is be guard crushed to death, jump (a set up for Geese’s superior anti-air game) or Roll.
Plus simply Do a barrage of low hyper jump C’s (2 hits) and There is absolutely NOTHING Rugal can do except CD counter…
EX Geese has a superior Fireball since his is MUCH Bigger than Rugal’s version of the Reppuken.
EX Geese outzones, outpokes and wins against Rugal in a fireball fight except if Geese basically just sits there and tries to beat the Kaiser wave.
Rugal is indeed very good this year but EX Geese so far is IMO his most difficult match. Rugal always has to go in and do a low A to Fwd+B to a command move or DM, Geesen does not need to do that.
The second hit of that jump C happens right after the first hit, there’s no delay…so it really doesn’t lock up Rugal. He can jump back air to air after blocking the first one, unless Geese’s second jump attack is done too early off the ground (but this is suicidal to do if Rugal decides to stay on the ground since then he can combo Geese as he is coming down from the early jump attack).
I think the clones are pretty rubbish now, before they’d do 19 hits now they do 10 before a simple one stock combo with chizuru would take 60 to 70% with just the dm version, also the potential for mix ups are alot less seeing as how the clones time out seems not even to hit 2 seconds where as before it was about 4 seconds.
But having said that the sdm version is still good and with doing sdms with 3 stocks with none of the extra push back of being in pow, i’d definently use her as a last character in advanced only
Well from what I tried you can still do the basic overhead or low mixup. The hit just long enough that you can do like a run up cr.short or overhead… I just don’t know if you can continue the combo afterwards, I imagine you could still combo a seal dm though.
You can continue the combo afterwards in the corner with ease. I’ll test midscreen tonight, but you probably can I think. Only tricky part about it is figuring out when you can do special moves again, but after you have that timing down, it’s a free half life to 80 percent(depending on stocks/red life) and the opponent stuck without special moves or dms for a few seconds.
The mixup stuff with clones still works, it’s just harder to implement now.
She’s good in either gauge as well. Q. Max helps her out a shitload, and gives her very easy hit confirms.
So she can do Duolon-esque combos…interesting…now im more hyped to learn her (You should do that too DG!!)
