Just beat everyone in Endless and you get everyone except for Nightmare Geese.
SGgeese says to unlock NM Geese you gotta beat all the normal challenges…then beat 14 of 19 Expert challenges then NM Geese will become selectable as a palette swap of regular Geese.
Good news: I got the game!
Bad news: My PS2 stick died. (Well I can salvage it, but still).
So I’m playing but having to go back to the pad, still this game is pretty good so far. Addresses most of the issues I had with KoF2k2, which was already one of my favorites in the series.
Though I don’t know who I want to main yet, so many characters.
from what ive seen of the vids igniz seems to be the strongest character in the game by far. he seems like his boss 01 seld without the insane amount of stamina. you can infinite from anywhere from the screen and kill people fast even without meter. krizalid seems almost as bad. easy infinite and almost as bossy. nm geese seems as he needs a ban as well, even though he might not exactle be as cheap as the other 2, or as cheap as igniz at least. anywayz the dvd is waiting on me so maybe ill go for a try this night. maybe ill unlock the challenges tonight if its not too time consuming, otherwise tommorow. if i play this night…
For those looking to unlock things the easy way. All you got to do is “suck” at challenges. I submitted some more codes to GameFAQs called “Consolation prize unlockables”
To get EX Robert and Challenges 11-20, fail 25 times
EX Kensou and Challenges 21-30, fail 50 times
EX Takuma, fail 75 times
Demo Movies and Expert challenges: fail 100 times
Unlock everything else by failing Expert mode 300 times.
Finished the 50 challenges. UNLOCKED EVERYTHING. Trying Nightmare Geese on training right now. It has:
Up to 4 Shippukens in air
Regular Reppuken travels at 98UM Krauser’s Kaiser Wave SDM
Double Reppuken travels quickly, but not THAT fast.
LP Jaeiken is SC-able.
The classic 3 counters, the low counter can setup for a MAX DM.
A command throw that switches sides a-la Iori
Claw Raging Storm, which hits OTG
a Ranbu-style MAX, that throws opponent to the floor, Geese jumps and barrages him with Shippukens. it has godly priority and can be used as followup from at least low counter.
a Deadly Rave MAX, with only 4 inputs, looks awesome, as it ends with a SDM Cage Raging Storm.
The MAX2 has 2 commands: the first has flames come out from Geese hands until you land the actual MAX2 command, which is any of the 3 counters. If you land a counter while Geese’s hands are on fire, the MAX2 is executed. Geese takes off the top part of his hakama, like in FF2 style, then proceeds to engulf the opponent in a multiple-Reppuken (think about the size of it, instead of a double Reppuken, this is like a 15-uple Reppuken), then it ends with 98UM finisher of Deadly Rave.
IMHO, ban-worthy chars: N. Geese, Krizalid, and Igniz, though I have my doubts about N. Geese; his damage is negigible, but he is untouchable. Everyone else is fair game.
You know going up agaisnt 3S Gill actually seems fairly "even"by direct comparison…the scary thing is N.Gesse is only slightly better then regular Gesse lol.
Not necessarily. Vanessa has an infinite in XI and she’s nowhere near banned, and you can see how much damage N.Geese actually does. Giving both characters a shot… I feel that regular Geese is actually BETTER than N. Geese. Oh, and for those interested, when you finish the challenges, you get an option to allow you to choose the same characters on a team. you could use this option to allow different versions of a character in the same team (Geese and N. Geese in the same team? You bet!))
Just a quick note-
If a combo in this game requires all stocks just to do a 90% damage combo, then there really is no reason to ban that character based on what you just consumed.
still aint played it yet. my lil bro is handling the challlenges right now (hes at about 20 ish). ill try it later on to see it for myself. its 5.36 n the norming right now so i might have to try it tommorow. see how far my lil bros makes it before i go to sleep. since i havent played it yet im wondering what krizalid is capable of against ignizs qcf attack (whip). just read somewhere nm geese got an infinite as well. thats 3 bosses overpowered and with easy ass infinites (maybe geeses is harder, aint seen it yet).
nm geese infinite only seems possible in the corner. way less dangerous than krizalids and especialy ignizs.
Dude Igniz’s Whip isnt as godlike as you think…it can be beaten it cant be used as an anti air…trades with a lot of things…I know this because I have been testing him against Gualberto…
