The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match Thread

Thanks Xorcist…was like pulling fucking teeth.

DG: have you been able to find something with jhun? im not gonna be able to play this until saturday, could you test him a bit? thanks

Excellent news

this was one of my biggest concerns

Good shit

Can someone check to see if K’s HDSM still does 30% unlike everyone else’s that does more than that?

How’s Iori in this game? I have seen some vids and he seems to have his KOF 99 super(qcfX2 + D/b) in this game. Man, I still can’t believe that this game is already out. I am still playing SF4 religiously and completely forgot about this game. I can’t wait to get this game. I am going to be so broke, haha.

Hatred Edge: Yes it still does the same damage. You realize that it’s unblockable, right?

Iori is mostly like 2k2, but with less damage on his followup to super (about half what it used to be). Close c f+A super seems even easier than it was in 2k2 though. I couldn’t combo his 99 super from anything even in maxmode, but maybe there’s a way.

Here’s a cute really easy 95% combo with Bao (but it uses all 5 stocks and requires red life and you will probably never land it unless someone really fucks up!).

close C f+A xx qcfx2+AC, run up close C f+A xx qcb+C SC qcbx2+K

Bao’s qcb+C being SCable is really good.

And something crazy about Jhun…

Because guard crush is quite a bit longer in this game, he can now do (A stance) D (guardcrush), u+C, D (unrollable knockdown). Then they get up and you can A stance D guardcrush again…

Since you can’t CD counter a guard crush, the only way out is is to use some invincible move or reversal roll. Pretty funny.

hows the autoguard frames of Jhuns fwd + B, still as crazy as they were on 2k?

Wee, this game is fantastic.

I just spent half an hour looking at the backgrounds, so many cameos :loving:.

I’ve always known it was unblockable but I wanted to damage higher anyway.

And do you(or anyone) believes K’ is more powerful?

Quite a ways back someone said he’s like his 2000 version.

The new music is awesome too!

Copy shipped earlier today, along with my copy of Game Center CX (Retro Game Challenge) 2 for DS.

Needless to say, I’ve got PLENTY of reasons to look forward to the day my copy arrives, at last…

I’m aiming to create a projectile / spacing based team of sorts.

Messing around with Athena / Bao / Orochi Shermie / Kula.

Also need to put Kasumi and Hinako in there just because.

after the knockdown you can do qcb + A/C on wake up, so that if they try to do something, even if they hit you (because you didnt block) they will get hit or theyll be stuck on blockstun, giving you time do go for pressure or mixups

can’t wait to play this game, gonna buy a ps2 just to play up some kof games although i already have ps3 :stuck_out_tongue:

Thing is, they can block that so they can CD counter out. If you only do A stance D, there’s no opportunity to.

Yes, he can cancel his cr.B and combo into either version of qcf+P after it. He certainly seems like his 2000 version, other than qcf+Pf+D not giving huge advantage on block.

Does Iori also have DP+K from 99, or just the super?

Sure I can tomorrow…just got back playing with Gualberto…needless to say:

  1. It takes a long ass time to build meter in this game
  2. The music is fucking godlike
  3. Nameless is probably on my team seriously (I play him like Geese)
  4. Both of Foxys supers can be used as Anti Airs
  5. Vids of me vs. Gual being uploaded now.
  6. Its super hard to punish Mais multifan…its even more safe than in RBS :wow:

Yes its arcade perfect no worries…

Matches coming stay tuned!

He doesn’t have any dp+K move, bummer.

Yeah, Yash can HSDM from HFC+AC -> QCF+C

FUCK YEAH!

M21: do a 70% combo
M22: defeat 3 random opponents using Kensou (your health constantly decreases, but you can’t die from this ‘blood loss’)
M23: defeat the Zero duo
M24: do a 20+ hit combo (cannot use any kind of DM)
M25: defeat your opponent who has an invisible health bar + your final blow must be a DM
M26: defeat your opponent in 10 or less hits (hits, not attacks)
M27: survive for 30 seconds, while not being able to attack or block
M28: defeat an opponent while having your directional controls reversed
M29: you have 0 HP, and you must dodge or outrun Choi’s MAX2 3 times
M30: defeat Igniz and Omega Rugal

That’s it for the normal challenges.
