I do see alot of people are predisposed to how it might suck because Garou/98/etc. In my experience though, it’s been fine.

Moving on, I see that people are having a tough time finding UM-specific resources. I don’t have much either, but I did find these character gameplay summaries and info vids on Nico, here:

Obviously you need a Nico account, and the vids are in Japanese. But from a demo perspective they’re definitely understandable and quite thorough (usually about 20mins for each character). There’s basically one for each character, so it’s a ton of vids. Someone was asking about Angel, who has her own vid here: KOF2002UM ??? 006 ??? ? ???(??)

I haven’t tried it but from what I’m constantly hearing, and SNK’s track record, it’s probably true that the netcode is garbage. Most likely you think otherwise because you don’t know or care about hit confirmation and countering on reaction. And no, I highly doubt you can hit confirm Whip crouch B into super (unless you’re punishing something really laggy which doesn’t count).
Lol. So you admit you haven’t tried the online but you already have your opinion fully concluded. Were you looking for someone to explain to you why that’s illogical? What kind of argument are you hoping to make?
“SNK’s track record” - you proved my point from before: people are predisposed to how the netcode might suck because Garou/98/etc. Even putting aside the fact that the latest release (NGBC) already proved that doesn’t necessarily have to be the case, having a cemented opinion (like yours) that a newer game invariably sucks because a previous iteration sucks is irrational regardless of the game. And look at you, you’re SO convinced of your unfounded belief, you feel entitled to tell me what I can and can’t do in this game. Pfft, whatever. I’m far from a tournament player, but I don’t see that anyone here needs to prove anything to you.
Anyway, this is all a waste. I’m sure there are people out there who see the opinion of someone like you about the online - when you have no experience with the game’s online - and will actually take it seriously. As stupid as it is to do that.

When even players in Japan, a country that has a godlike internet connection, mentions in Arcadia Magazine that the netcode is ass on KOF2K2UM, then that pretty much sums it up.
What’s really stupid is how you’ll defend an obviously bad netcode and then try make excuses why you think it isn’t.
Its also funny how you bring up people being in college as equating to not being able to purchase a new console which is retarded. Where’s the incentive? I’m gonna spend 300 bucks or more just to play SSF4? Are you crazy?

Keits posted that from MadMan cafe, where The Professor translated some KoFXIII stuff found on Arcadia. And then he happened to mention that people in Japan were experiencing difficulties with the 2002UM netcode on a completely separate note. HE made the comment about the netcode, not Arcadia.
