Pretty fucking excited for this to come to XBL, even if the netcode ends up not as good as NGBC’s.

I guess I can add in on this too since I actually play him seriously.

His overhead is fast as hell and can be comboed into the unblock combo/command throw or c.A or c.B. In the corner it gets pretty dumb because now he can combo into s.C or c.C into ANYTHING.

Air dive kick doesn’t knock down but gives him a lot of frame advantage and you can rape characters without proper reversals with his great high-low-command throw-regular throw setups.

I noticed in some combo videos that Xiangfei can start her A+C DM with the shoulder ram. How is this possible?

Yeah, but doesn’t reg Robert have all of that too? I think reg Robert prox unblockable seems to have much better range than EX Robert’s, and it also doesn’t need a down charge.
EX Robert’s sonic booms have a shitload of startup. Reg Robert’s dps are kinda shitty, so I guess EX’s flashkicks are better, but…

Add to the fact that EX Lobot command throw can be rolled out of.

On the whole charge thing…Ex Lobot’s charge times are practically non-existent so his command throw can be ready to throw out at a moment’s notice. Random overhead? Charge it until you hit the ground. Let it rip.

That’s some real good info I can dig it fasho. I love his ex combos in the corner with the EX Lobot, qcfx2 D(3-hits), charge d then up D XX qcfx2 D finisher it’s too good. Timing gotta be really early to get those initial 3-hits.

The problem with Robert’s command grab is that it overlaps with his f,b,f+K move which means you can’t do it off a run. EX Robert’s can be option selected with a hop/jump A/C which will hit people trying to jump out and is also somewhat safe if you do it with hop back. Also another thing that hasn’t been mentioned is EX Robert’s qcfx2+K flashkick DM which has instant startup and can punish a lot of shit.

Has Kyo-1 been nerfed in the Tougeki version? If so what exactly happened to him?

As far as I know, they took away his ridiculous damage off his qcfx2+P combos.

well Robert command grab hcf+B or D, can get grabbed, command grabbed, and rolled out of if anticipated.

Big damage from his combos was pretty much all he had.

oh also ex roberts prox unblockable can be done as a meaty (but you can roll out as previously mentioned)

Why KYO-1 dropped so much from 2002um to tougeki?
