That first vid though. Damn he went in on that one. Great execution, defense, and use of fireballs.
Ok, I didn’t realize what I was watching immediately after watching the first vid but who the hell is this guy??? He is a very good player, and he wasn’t playing the old run of the mill online players either and he didn’t lose a single round. Very impressive. Can’t wait to see more.
thanks for the compliment, defense is everything on this game, i had a big momentum and just went at it on that viper, Sagat can be very effective rushing down viper,
heh, these matches are just to show some techs not so much to show who i can beat, i was just trying to show some tech that can be used on situation…corner forward throw safe jump OS set on Viper, Nasty corner forward throw Tigerknee set up on Akuma, Sagats meaty c.LK blows up every wake up option DJ has except for EX flashkick, pushing Ryu sweep with Kara DP (tho from the vid i may have miss timed it and alex might have moved forward ) but its actually quite easy offline i have about 95% success rate, corner forward throw set up timing to combo c.LP with deep meaty Overhead on Abel ( works on few characters ) and last match with XSK Samurai Ryu was to show some Proximity Block Option Select??? bullshit lol haha c.HP ~ Tiger Uppercut,
xsk samurai, alex valle, 801strider, are top notch players, very very tough opponents, it just happens to have replay of me using some techs and winning, but its close match with these guys all the time
i have alot more replays to show other techs, its just for some reason takes 30 minute each time to upload them on youtube, when i get free time again ill get on it
heh… i played alot better against him before both offline and online, all i wanted to do was to push forward and get him to corner to land a unblockable set up for like first 4 match lol thats why i was playing really impatient press to many buttons, i just wanted to get some highlight shit on some top names, it backfire badly and put on blast hah and i didnt even know he was recording let alone it playing a ft5 set, but no matter what i still lose to PR, the guy is the best Rog for a reason by far and for sure atleast top 10 best player in the world, there aint much else to say man hah
he actually did the right counter for it, i didnt expect he would know that set up
a valiant effort…but bonchan was going neck and neck with daigo when he used to play Ryu in AE and that was when Sagat didnt have the damage nerfs he has now. Its clear there wasnt much he could do vs evil Ryu.
I agree, this is a harder match for Sagat than Ryu is. In the past when these two played Ryu vs Sagat, it was a fireball fight with a lot poking and maybe a DP, FADC, Ultra or two. With Evil Ryu Daigo can now throw out cr. MK > fireball on block with no fear even from max range. The exception is in the corner because without the push back Sagat can punish that. But really, putting yourself in the corner to make that string more unsafe is not a good idea.
Evil Ryu’s slower lows doesn’t matter in this match up because Sagat’s lows are just as slow and Evil Ryu walks much faster. So instead of a fireball fight Evil Ryu can bully Sagat into the corner. And obviously when he has 2 meters he can confirm a low forward fireball into big damage and gains more meter from connecting it.
