Seraph, I noticed you were punishing blanka balls w/ kara tu. Does this work only at a certain range or if it hits?
I haven’t watched the video, but I’m sure he’s punishing EXupball. You can punish EXupball on block with LK kara uppercut.
This is like…two years old but w/e. This is one of the reasons Sagat crushes Blanka. Block any upball or even on hit and it’s free kara TU. Sagat can also punish horizontal balls when you block high with kara tu.
read el post below , it is not lk kara ( although you can punish horizontal balls blocked high timing is very strict) it is HK kara and it punishes upball and ex up ball on block or hit
I always punished exupballs with lk kara, and regular upballs with hk kara. Mostly because when I bait exupballs I block it crouching, so I punish with lk kara. You can still hk kara, but the timing is weird for me. I didn’t watch the video so I assumed that was what he saw. Was you baiting a exupball. On hit, I’d do hk because I usually get hit standing, and it’s easier to punish with hk kara when you’re standing, hit or block. For me anyway.

I was punishing ex horizontal balls w/ lk kara ex tk (which crosses up perfectly) into U1. This works on block and hit while standing. A stocked AS will give you a cross up ex tk TU. The damage is not worth the 2 bars though. So I only do this if i have U1 ready. This works on block or hit. It works on regular horizontal balls as well but im not as consistent crossing up with it , not sure if it has to be a specific punch ball. I have a hard time punishing regular balls w/ kara tu.
