I just want to see proof of this 100 damage uppercut with purple lighting
I’m not saying my execution is fantastic but, i feel I would have at least accidentally gotten it by now. You’re specifically getting a different move? No counter hit charged up or anything?
I can confirm that there is a EWGF. It has purple lightning and is exactly as Half-Ro described. Execution seems the same as Tekken, but I haven’t played Tekken in a couple of months. In Tekken I can do 3 in a row with Heihachi, but here I can only do 1 on command right now. I’m playing on pad btw.
WGF does 17 chip
EWGF does 25 chip
Can anyone test decisively if EX WGF has an electric version?
I tried doing EX EWGF, but it comes out as normal EWGF.
I wonder if that means the EX version is semi-obsolete.
Yeah it does. I’ve never played Tekken or anything so it’s not my imagination, haha. You can definitely get a different move which, not on counterhit or anything, does 100 damage instead of 70 and has purple lightning instead of blue. Launches a bit higher. I haven’t managed to get it to come out while holding a normal anything but I’m pretty consistent with just doing a normal mist step but making sure to mash that fucker into the corner right at the same time I hit MP. I can’t get it to work with FP.
edit: sorry, you said EX. I don’t know about that, I don’t think so since I can only get it to come out with MP.

man kazuya is really fun. his qcb.lp (idk the name sorry) can combo into so much shit. OTG launch, or the ex version of the same move, super, tag…fuuuuck
Is learning the EWGF really that much of a need for him? i’d rather focus on other things if i can’t get the execution right

I don’t think so. It doesn’t hurt, but it is not needed. He is still a beast without it.

EWGF is the special one that Half-Ro already stated the difference in post #114
Rugal - I think so far that EWGF is not a must for kazuya (it is in tekken however), it should not stop you from playing him. It’ll help for his maximun damage combos but his DMG overall is gatlike so don’t let it stop you
ok… which of Kazuya’s OH’s give ground bounce? and does it ALWAYS give ground bounce on counter hit?
so far only kazuya’s :qcb:+:lp: gives an bounce…no counter needed
I’m sure either f.lk/mk gives OH… I’m away from the game for a while… just wondering which it is that I should use for pressure…
those are overhead as well but give no bounce.

yea, I’m liking Kazuya a lot. Doing his wave dash is just way too fun, right now I’m pairing him up with akuma, but I’m still experimenting w/ teams and characters
