It really varies on the keyboard. Some keyboards wont allow certain two button combinations while others do. My laptop lets me do 5 buttons combintation which is a saviour. Its the only thing that lets me do real 360 motions.
I also thought you can do a second tandem after a certain period of time. I know theres a large cooldown after each tandem, I thought you can keept an actual infinite going by having the “after-tandem” combo last long enough for you to reuse another tandem. Tandem after stand crush I never knew about, I guess it resets the properties. Do stand crushes reset anything as well?
Im pretty sure I got it up to 150 or so on the dreamcast version, dont have a ss of that tho.
sounds like the tourney was fun! hope everyone had a good time!
edit: im with you geezer, if i got the opportunity to get a second tandem off, and that extra dmg will win me the match, then of course im going for it =P.
Lol i think i still have that pic lying around on my computer some where.
But after watching a shit load of mikado matches and what not, i noticed no one ever did more than one tandem in a single combo. And after thinking about it all today while i’ve been out, i think that’s a pretty fair rule and keeps the game fun/interesting. Because it would not only be about being able to hit a tandem, but hitting a tandem and trying to combo as much as you can after it was over. This is where true skill lies, and perhaps after considering it should start being part of tourney rules. I kinda feel bad now about anytimes i might have gotten double tandem/triple tandem combos on anyone (as rare as that is). I dunno, that’s what i’m thinking now (it’s not like it’s hard to go into another tandem), and hopefully others share my view. It’d be way too cheap if you could just tandem your opponent to death. I know this is not always the case online (i’ve been trying to do that until i learned about the tandem etiquette), but if this was offline there would be a real issue (offline tandem combos are too easy to keep going).
there are some silly infinites in this game, not counting tandem x N.
but afaik jojo is the only game in japan that had an open (and very heated) debate about rules, combos, infinites etc.
and it seems like most of the time (not always) people play by the rules. thats what i learned from chatting with dio in akiba and my own experience.
so it was offline? says location texas ^^
tell me a bit about it, folks. how were the finals? which characters were played? was there any player that surprised anyone? etc.
there we go fixed the list yea i live in texas lol i had to put the state in so it was easier to track down when sending everyone the link cause bracketmaker is kinda dumb at times but it was fun overall also ill have footage up of the semi finals and finals from this tourney an the last one up next week finals was crazy lol iced(me) vs pol(gamegeezer) but there was alot of predictions that me an geezer made on who would win that lost which was crazy casue i didnt expect zarin to beat out alucard at all
I have much more training to do before I become great. I finally got a converter for my stick so I will see about doing some Jojo’s on stick. (no dc converter so nfba for me  ) Great matches roukyou
This tourney truly yielded some interesting results. I gotta watch some of these replays :wonder:
Hi everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that I would be up for some JJBA on GGPO (maybe 2DF, but I’m skeptical about it) if you really want to. I love the game and would totally be down to learn. I’ve seen a few things and picked up maybe some bread and butters, but obviously this game is more complicated than it looks. So yeah, hit me up on GGPO. I’m in the Savior room.
