Yes, I know it is invulnerable once it begins. But the point is that it does not begin. The meaty attack prevents the super from even starting. Like to use Jotaro c.A3 then short hop j.A3 when the opponent is getting up off the ground – the opponent getting up will be forced to either block or be hit by the j.A3 because they can not do the super.
It doesn’t matter how many times you try to do the super, the super will never come out no matter what. You can’t do the super against an attack that hits on the first frame of wakeup.
That’s how it is in the arcade version.
This guy knows what he’s talking about. Although trying to bring up the PSX version as if it applies to the arcade/DC well thats a completely different monster. But this guy knows his stuff Ryukendenx and the reason you won’t see a video where a meaty hits a super is because the meaty hits before the super ever comes out like what Xenozip said. On wakeup up, the very first available frame to do an input or move or anything, your getting hit by a meaty. That means your character is hit the moment it has a chance to do anything during a wakeup (meaning block or be hit). But yeah, just repeating whats been said. Xenozip knows his shit.

in jojo’s you can’t reversal super on wake up if you get hit as soon as you get up. I think another good example of this is hol horse bullet super set up. if you could really reversal super as soon as you get up then it would be possible to avoid the bullet but thats not the case. its the same even if you try to use black polnareff’s super.
