For the longest time we were all on Supercade back when it was called 2DF. But after the change, a lot of regulars switched to GGPO. And now we got a lot of new faces, and semi-regulars. Kinda just gotta pop in and wait to see who will show up. I haven’t been on in a while, so i don’t know what the best times are anymore. But if it’s like how it was in the past, the evenings might be a good time to start.
EDIT: Guys, somebody upstairs heard our complaining, bitching, and moaning for a rerelease. Check it out! Teh Man Sex It’s even got uploadable replays!?
Two years ago, I use to be able to play JoJo’s on Supercade. I bought a new pc and tried it on their, and had no luck connecting to it. I never have had luck with GGPO running on my pc either.
Some attacks change mid combo there is copies of attacks through out the game that have different properties.
Like Alessi’s Dash A is different then his Standing A. Or when there is a child form his dash C and standing A are different.
Another cool thing, about the different move mid combo is that the Learn Mechanic counts them as the same move. (Learn Khan’s 2A you also Learn his 2B)
I believe it has to do with the hitcount. when there are many hits in a combo, attacks that would normally launch/pop someone up into the air (such as dio’s s.H in his BnB) instead just do a fast knockdown. since it’s normally a move that pops them up, RS’s 4S does the hard knockdown if there’s a certain number of hits before it.
Now that I think about it, I think the way it works is that:
In Jojos, the mechanic where if the combo count is high, the combo’d character will become heavier.
Since the combo count is higher, the 4S (which causes the opponent to float away) will make them slam on the ground.
