Hey what kinda inputs are you guys using for links in this game? I have a lotta trouble with the various loops in here cause the links are tough! I’ve been double tapping a little but any advice would help

Pssh, I don’t think that SF4 double tapping even works in this game. At least 30 minutes of practice on the most important combo for whatever character you are maining once a day, everyday. Then once you pretty much have the most important combo down, expand out.
Negative edge. I use it for the tough links that kakyoin and dio have. When I played on pad, negative edge helped with the jotaro loop too.

Ey are there any cheats i can use for infinite life/time? I just realized I’m really not practicing this game at all anymore and it’s probably because of tough combos+lack of training mode haha

Foo double taps work in every game all it is is tapping a button twice fast so that you get two inputs

Also if you need to test specific timings of things, remember that ‘pause’ pauses the game and F1 frame advances.

Can someone give me some Mariah pointers?
Ive pretty much concluded that cancelling an airborne hard slash into an electric snap is GDLK. Electric snap not only increases the safeness of her offense but depending on where you place it on screen you force the opponent to play your game, especially the cast that cant play long range.
Popping one right in front of mariah will after a while stop them from jumping in, then youre free to place them wherever you like.

Is it me or does the jumping ver. of flying knives have less recovery?
Whats the best way to rush in? I’ve been dashing following behind a set of knives but I bet thats a pretty low level tactic.
Also…I really need some combo transcripts…watching low quality youtube videos its hard to see what theyre doing.

Thats the thing, Devo (my main character) is completely blank. Mariah (my secondary) is only partially complete. I cant read German.

I ‘run’ Stand Crash, though I only know some characters (I don’t know devo) so can’t add to those - and need to do more work on it. Plenty of the pages that have been filled out have been by others as well, who know those characters well.
I’ll PM you a dodgy little mariah primer I wrote once (just tips/tricks) but you’re probably past that point.
I’ve been adverse to just copying combos wholesale (out of respect for the work of folks like ATG) from other sources, so that’s why Stand Crash has big gaps of info.
I should pester Roukyou to add some info for Devo. He or Cinroth in the ggpo room might be able to offer advice as they’re the most frequent players of Devo I see there.

As far as the actual tandem goes, he was explaining to me it’s best to mash out 2A 2B repeatedly and at some point throw in 236C so you can get a mixup or end the combo at the end of the tandem.
