Does anyone know if Phantom Blood ever got subbed? I tried googling it but nothing appears to come up other than trailers 
I hear Araki hated it so much that it never got a DVD release. It’s now one of the holy grails of anime.

i heard/read that the movie removed alot of characters (jack the ripper, Speedwagon) and scenes that were important (DANNY), but even though it’s terrible i still want to see it, there again i’d also like to see a full licensed series of JoJo’s but yeah that ain’t gonna happen.
i’ve been waiting for a subbed version of phantom blood since a long time, nothing is out that i know of so far =(

Removing Speedwagon? Haha. What’s left? Jack the ripper is at least only one scene (really), but Speedwagon is there for a lot of it. Ugh.

yeah but removing Jack the ripper also means removing the entire fight/scene where Johnathan is learning to control Hamon properly, to me at least, is a pretty important bit. Also if i remember rightly Dire and Straights/Straizo got removed(?).

I got some good-old fashioned gaming in a couple minutes ago, wanted to say it’s good to be able to play again! Still working on perfecting my main before I move on to other characters, so bear with me if all you see is Ora-Ora hahaha. Have a great summer guys, and see you on GGPO!
P.S.: I got on at 7:00 AM, and in GGPO I saw a lot, and I mean A LOT of Japanese flags. Someone enlighten me?
