You think anyone would want any stuff on Hol? If so i could try my best at doing a write up of him, used to use him on 2df/ggpo and was alright, but since then i’ve gotten a hell of a lot better with him.
Avdol is probably the closest, but not really the same at all. Dio is too unsafe if you’re new with him, and his BnB is ridiculous. Anyone like Avdol will also have magic series style combos w/ stand on.
I’d say just try a few characters, especially the less ‘weird’ ones maybe (Devo, Alessi, et cetera) and see what characters you like the feel of playing. You might be surprised - I know I was when I started branching out.
I think people definitely would, but no pressure. I just don’t think any of those who have already contributed at all actually play Hol. I certainly don’t. I know a bit of where to look to illustrate his gimmicks to people, but having not played him for real, I don’t think I could advise a new player on how to start out with him, what to get down as fundamentals and how to move on from there.

Fanime was kool, despite having NO JJBA cosplay in sight. I got to play mike-z in blazblue and got Tager bustered like a pro. They had guilty gear, so i dabbled in that a bit despite being retarded ass rusty, and they vanilla SFIV…which i still played 
Despite being JJBA-less, it was still great even if i missed the autograph signing from daisuke ishiwatari. Hit up a bar afterwards and got invited out to drink with this bartender and her girlfriends… xD

Hey Roukyou, I think the time constraints on these is always a killer. I had to go once it hit the 2hr mark, though usually my sundays/vacation days are more open.
What do you think about letting the games run in parallel until you get to, say, the quarter finals or something AS LONG AS each of those games can get someone to spec/record (or not have this requirement at all, too).
