It’s not time release. Go to machine settings (in GGPO fba, press F2). Then use 1P to select “Configuration”, then “Game”. Then use 1P to input UP, DOWN, RIGHT, LEFT, A1, A2, A3, S. If you have done it correctly you are going to hear a monster-like scream. Now save all settings and you have all the secret chars.
That’s one way (the easiest) but are you sure they aren’t otherwise time-release? That’s the only way I’ve heard them referred to.

So we doing dreamcast most likely? If so i’d think someone would have playstation to dreamcast adapters and if that were the case we should be set for sticks correct?
Speaking for myself, I don’t have any such adapters (actually I don’t have any PS2 sticks - no good ones…) unfortunately. And my DC Agetecs still aren’t Sanwa-modded. I would think that a laptop + external screen would be our best bet, but dunno! We’ll eventually figure things out, just the logistical side, especially the first time, suck - especially since we need to find some random location to host it.

They’re Japanese (rebranded Sega sticks) but the buttons aren’t quite up to snuff. I remember them very fondly (many hours on MvC2, etc) but after using a TE almost exclusively for the last half year or so and going back the other day, I don’t think the buttons are even microswitch-based.
If no one minded, of course I’d bring them, as something is better than nothing - just not sure that DC version is necessarily the best fit for us? We’ll figure it all out, in the end.
I still have my gripes with the 2p combo counter glitch. I like that its fixed in the dc version. But i wouldn’t mind if we had TE sticks on pc those things are the shit

What is the glitch? I know the savestate for GGPO doesn’t show it or Mariah’s level counter, but a simple F3 fixes that. Is there another, or am I misremembering that a reset fixes it?

the 2p combo glitch, just like the mariah and winning streak glitches are related to emulation bugs, and it seems like nobody cares to make an update for that. DC version didn’t fix anything, because these bugs weren’t even in the arcade version to begin with.

- winning streak
