Ok, i just read a review from someone who played hagger, and something caught my attention in it:
“Haggar’s Play Style: Like Hulk, Haggar is all about the big damage, but he?s faster than Banner?s alter ego and his fighting style?s a little more refined. Haggar needs to get in close to do damage, but once he?s in, he?s not leaving ?til you?re hurting. He can mix solid normal attacks with some nasty unblockable command grabs that will have your opponents heading for the hills. Also? Haggar?s piledrivers shatter psyches. Believe it!”
What heck does “shatter psyches” mean? i hope it doesnt mean what i think it does :tup:
Definitely going to play him, he looks like a fun and mobile grappler, which is the kind that I like. I wonder how good his Violent Ax may be, it looks like it’s going to be a move you used to get in on the ground.
man sentinal looks crazy…you think he might be good for a haggar she hulk team? his beam is really fast might help you close in for assists…might have a hard time against storm though with her ice storm super
Rapid Fire Fist- :qcf::atk::atk:
Giant Haggar Press- :dp::atk::atk:
Final Atomic Buster (Level 3)- :hcb::atk::atk: (Guessing on this one, movelist on the official site doesn’t list Lvl3’s for some reason)
That hoodlum launcher input can’t be right. He uses crouching attacks in a few of the gameplay vids he shows up in. 18 seconds into the video where he fights Hulk and wins (don’t have a link to the youtube vid, it’s blocked at work) he throws out a crouching palm. Looks like a low light attack.
Anyone else wanna see how some grapplers would match up against Sent? When I see Sent, I see a huge hit box. You think Haggar’s AA command grab would hit Sent even if he’s just standing? If so… oh the shenanigans.

Ok so can we assume Hoodlum Launcher :dp:+:atk: is his running grab move?
I still think each button will give the move different properties–like :l: being the ground dash, and :h: being the anti air grab/dash. I wonder what the third button will do?
I know people said Alex will combo into his unblockable throws in TvC, but I’m still skeptical if this move is truly unblockable or just a hit-throw. I mean if it is unblockable, look at all the properties it has:
-Haggar can combo into it
-Haggar can combo after it
-Haggar can use it to grab people out of the air during ground bounces (like after magic series–>:s:)
How often do you see a single unblockable throw with all those properties? Something’s suspect if you ask me. I’ll be happy to be wrong though :wgrin:
I’m going to say it one more time. Having a dash in grab that you can combo after is exactly 0% better than having a triangle jump, a Marvel staple. Just because grapplers generally sucked in Marvel 2 doesn’t mean they have to continue to be worthless.
